‘The Sims 4’ Mac Version Release Announcement

Electronic Arts and Maxis have released the Mac version of popular The Sims 4 simulation game on physical disc at store everywhere and through the video game purchasing service Origin.


Players who purchased The Sims 4 on download or by Origin download can get their free Mac version.

The Sims 4 on Mac also allows players to transfer their add-on content and in-progress games from the PC version once the Mac version is installed (see instructions at www.TheSims.com/Mac).  

Mac players can also look for the upcoming The Sims 4 Get to Work Expansion Pack, which will have police/detective (patrol, interrogate, investigate, arrest, etc.), doctor (save lives, treat, deliver babies, complete surgeries, etc.), and scientist (experiment,  invent, collect, etc.) career options for Sims plus create your own business gameplay (base game required).

The Sims 4 on Mac is rated “T” for Teen by the ESRB and includes all game updates released to The Sims 4 base game since its release on PC on September 2014.
