I have a Nest Cam setup in my living room which notifies me every time something moves or makes a sound. I love it and even though at $199 it’s not the least expensive camera you’ll find, I do like that it displays an image within my Nest app alongside my thermostats and Nest Protect.
A new update to the Nest app allows you to receive an email alert with an image snapshot whenever your Nest Cam detects movement. Prior to this update, you could receive an email alert but there would not be an image attached.
Mobile alerts to my Nexus 6P display an image snapshot though my iPhone 6S+ only displays a text alert.
