Brooklinen Makes Amazing Gifts: Check Out Their New Blankets and Scented Candles

Not every gift needs to fall into the techy category; there are people who would much prefer something for the home — something to snuggle in, something comforting. Brooklinen‘s new blankets and candles definitely fit the bill.

Totally snugly, mright?

Brooklinen AM/PM Candles

Brooklinen has introduced four new candles. Each candle is made of hand-poured soy wax, and they come in a nice thick glass tumbler.

The four distinct flavors follow an AM/PM motif:

Wake – the fresh smell of the ocean
Afternoon Delight – scents of a tomato farmhouse
Magic Hour – the smell of a sunlit rose garden
Nightcap – aromas of bourbon and blood orange

I received the 10.5-ounce Nightcap candle.

Our hand-poured Nightcap candle perfectly captures magic in a blood-orange and bourbon scent. Tree ripened moro is blended with base notes of rye and barley for a smell that is rich, warm, and subtly masculine, with just a hint of citrus. It’s the ideal gift – and just the right touch to elevate your space.

Descriptions of scents are hard to do, but this one is nice — not too fruity and without a heavy dose of vanilla or cinnamon (two flavors my husband Kev detests). I gave it to him to smell, and it passed with flying colors; he liked it and said we could burn it. Score! 😉

These candles are made in Brooklyn, New York, and they would be perfect as stocking stuffers, in gift baskets, or as stand-alone hostess gifts.

Brooklinen 10.5 ounce Candles retail for $35 each or $59 for a set of four 3.5 ounce candles.

Brooklinen Wool Blankets/Throws

Brooklinen has four new throws and one blanket that they’ve added to their line; each is made in Germany, and each is made for snuggling. The throws are made of lambswool, cashmere, or alpaca, and the slightly larger blanket throw —  which is what I received — is made of 100% virgin wool.

Our Pure Virgin Wool Blanket in Greige is the cornerstone of our new fall collection and guaranteed to be your new favorite blanket. Made from the finest, soft virgin lambswool, these blankets are handmade in Germany by a 100-year-old family mill. A chic design that’s plush, soft and woven in a super versatile shade of gray, this blanket is the perfect gift or home accessory for any room or season.

If your experience with wool blankets in the past included itchy and scratchy, then you’ll be pleased with this one: it’s soft, snugly, and at 59″ wide by 83″ long, it’s great for two-person cuddling on the couch or for using on a twin to full-sized bed as an extra layer.

I like how the two sides have contrasting shades and patterns of gray, and I am looking forward to taking advantage of its warmth during the upcoming cold season.

Brooklinen’s blankets and throws are perfect gifts for anyone who never seems to be warm enough (raises hand); they are great to keep on the bed, sofa, or favorite chair.

The Brooklinen Fall Throw Blanket in Greige retails for $229, and there are a variety of slightly smaller throws: lambswool for $189, cashmere for $249, and baby alpaca for $229. All are made in Germany.
