Belkin ScreenForce TemperedCurve Screen Protection for iPhone X Review

Belkin ScreenForce TemperedCurve Screen Protection for iPhone X Review

I’m the person who drops their iPhone often — not some simple 1 or 2′ drop, but a hard drop on the corner or face that would shatter a phone’s screen or ding a corner. For drop protection, I keep my phone in a protective case; for the screen, I’m using the Belkin ScreenForce TemperedCurve Screen Protection for iPhone X.

The first thing that sets the Belkin ScreenForce apart from almost every other protector is that it offers edge-to-edge protection; that means all four sides are curved, so there are no hard drop-offs that make your screen seems smaller and that do nothing to help with corner drops.

Manufactured from premium Japanese glass, ScreenForce TemperedCurve retains the smooth glide and tactile experience of the phone’s screen. The material also undergoes extensive testing to deliver the brightness, sharpness and clarity you expect from your phone’s screen.

Included in the box are the protector, an easy-align application tray, a microfiber cloth, information on registering the protector for warranty replacement should you break it, and a dust removal sticker.

Key Features and Benefits

  • Tempered glass provides crystal clarity and smooth glass feel
  • Tested to 9H pencil hardness for scratch resistance
  • Curved edges fit seamlessly and provide more coverage
  • Easy Align tray assists in easy, smooth application
  • Designed to preserve Face ID facial recognition
  • 0.3mm thin for enhanced touchscreen sensitivity

The application is super easy; you’ll clean off your iPhone’s screen with the included microfiber cloth, then lay your phone in the easy-align application tray. You’ll peel off the underside of the screen protector then simply lay it down over your phone while the phone lays in the tray. I like to use a credit card to smooth the protector down from one end to the other, as it chases out any bubbles that might form. If you messed up and got a bit of dust between your phone’s screen and the protector, you can use the blunt end of a butter knife to gently lift the protector up; with the dust exposed, you can use the dust removal sticker to dab it off the protector or your screen. Lay the protector back down, and smooth out any bubbles — and et voila — you are golden.

Check out how the protector covers the edges of my screen without leaving an ugly blunt edge; the protector is practically invisible, and it doesn’t take away from your gorgeous iPhone X’s appearance. It also plays very well with my favorite case.

If you are carrying your iPhone X without screen protection, odds are that a bad drop is all that’s keeping your screen from a nasty crack. $45 spent on a great screen protector is money well spent versus having to pay for a $279 screen replacement without Apple Care.

The Belkin ScreenForce TemperedCurve Screen Protection for iPhone X retails for $44.99, and it is available directly from the manufacturer
