The Pure Company Aromatherapy Diffuser Review

The Pure Company Aromatherapy Diffuser Review

There’s nothing better than walking into a room that smells wonderful, am I right? Scent totally sets the mood, whether it be relaxing or energizing. If you can’t burn candles for safety reasons, or if you simply want to know that what you’re inhaling is 100% pure essential oil goodness, The Pure Company Aromatherapy Diffuser is a perfect choice.

Available in marshmallow (off-white) or true navy, the $59 aromatherapy diffuser works similarly to a humidifier in that you add water to a tank and it is released into the room in the form of vapor. Unlike a humidifier, however, the vapor released has been infused with drops of oil, which causes a lovely and, dare I say, mood altering effect.

Included in the box are the aromatherapy diffuser, a power cable, and a quick-start guide.

The aromatherapy diffuser measures approximately 10″ wide (measured at widest spot) by 4.5″ tall; it is composed of plastic with a soft-touch rubber-coated paint that resists fingerprints. The diffuser looks nice, and while it won’t be out of place in any room, it might be a little large for bathrooms with smaller countertops.

On the top, there is a vapor spout; on the front, there is an on/off button on the left and a timer button on the right. Circling the middle of the diffuser is an off-white semi-translucent plastic band that will softly glow blue when the diffuser is turned on; if you prefer no lighting, it can be turned off.

Pressing the power button one turns the mist on and the light on; pressing the power button a second time keeps the mist on, but turns the light off. Pressing the power button a third time turns everything off; pressing and holding the power button for 2 seconds makes a weak mist, and pressing and holding the power button for another two seconds makes a regular mist. Time options for the timer button include 2, 4, or 6 hours, and you can select which timers setting you’d like by pressing the timer button until the green light shows under the time period you want.

The only branding is on the back, and it’s very discreetly printed above the power port.

Before using the aromatherapy diffuser, you will need to pull the top off and will the tank with water; the tank holds 10 ounces, but there is no need to measure, as there is a max-fill line inside the tank.

The Pure Company also sells 100% pure essential oils that range in price from $10 to $18; I was sent the Custom Blend Oil Set which includes the scents Comfort (clove bud, lemon, cinnamon, eucalyptus, rosemary, lavender, and cedarwood), Fresh (rosemary, lemon, bergamot, and peppermint), and Clarity (lemongrass, rosemary, spearmint, and grapefruit) inside a reusable wooden box. All three of these oils smell amazing, but Comfort is my favorite.

In order to use the diffuser, after you have filled the tank with 10 ounces of water, you’ll add 5 to 10 drops of whichever pure essential oil you’ve chosen to the water. Because there are no open flames, the aromatherapy diffuser is perfect to use in dorms, apartment buildings, and in homes with pets or children.

After placing the cover back on the tank, you’ll plug in the power adapter, the press power and set the timer. If you don’t set a time, the diffuser will simply quit when it runs out of water.

People have been using the power of scent to lift up their mood, relax, and to help concentration for eons. You can harness the benefits of using essential oils by placing the Pure Company Aromatherapy Diffuser in a living room, bedroom, office, or bathroom.

The Pure Company Aromatherapy Diffuser retails for $59, and it is available in marshmallow or true navy; the Custom Blend Oil Set is $54. For a limited time, you can get the Aromatherapy Diffuser Collection (which includes everything in my review) for $54. You can purchase all directly from the manufacturer

What I Like: No open flame, so it is safe to use in apartments and dorms; 10-ounce tank lasts a long time; Attractive design; Light around the middle can be turned on or off; Soft Touch paint feels nice to touch and doesn’t show a lot of fingerprints; East to operate; The included oils in the Aromatherapy Diffuser Collection smell lovely

What Needs Improvement: The footprint is a little bit large for bathrooms with smaller countertop spaces
