5G is rapidly coming to phones, laptops, tablets, and anything else that connects you to the world. And no, it’s not going to give you COVID-19, but it is going to provide you with new speeds for gaming, streaming, photography, and smartphone AI. Basically, your phone is going to be better…faster…stronger…but thankfully won’t cost 6 million dollars.
Qualcomm has its already excellent Snapdragon 8xx series processors ready to go with the Snapdragon 865 Plus 5G to make your next phone zippier than the Flash.
Processors aren’t usually on the top of your list when phone shopping, but they do all the heavy lifting, and the Snapdragon 865 Plus 5G will make the camera faster, gaming more fluid and snappy, and power the AI to make the phone even smarter. Qualcomm says the newest Snapdragon will also be able to handle desktop-quality gaming graphics, so your Plants vs. Zombies game will be the envy of your friends.
Lenovo and Asus have already said they plan to use these new chips, and more will no doubt be coming soon, so look closely at the specs for your next phone!
