OnePlus continues to live up to its mantra of “Never Settle,” which has never been more evident than its latest flagship, the OnePlus 8T. Boasting a 120Hz screen refresh rate, Warp Charge 65, quad-cameras, Android 11, and the top of the line Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 5G Mobile Platform, this mobile powerhouse is a stunner.
With the OnePlus 8T, we’re offering pro-level capabilities for even more users across our flagship smartphone portfolio. Featuring a class-leading 120Hz AMOLED display, our upgraded 65W fast charging technology, and fresh, bold software in OxygenOS 11, the OnePlus 8T offers an impressive overall package of powerful hardware and smooth software. – Pete Lau, Founder and CEO of OnePlus.
Available in either Aquamarine Green or Lunar Silver, measuring 6.32″ tall by 2.92″ wide by 0.33″ thick and weighing 6.63 ounces, the OnePlus 8T has a brilliant 6.55″ FHD+ 2.5D (flat, yay!) Corning Gorilla Glass display and a 3D Corning Gorilla Glass back. As mentioned, the display will have a 120Hz refresh rate for seamless scrolling and smooth visuals; gaming will be even more fluid and intense, but even mundane things like scrolling through your social media feeds or your emails will be effortless. It will stun in even the brightest light with up to 1,100 nits and 8,192 automatic brightness levels. There’s also an in-display fingerprint reader for fast unlocking.
The OnePlus 8T has two 2250mAH connected internal batteries for a massive total of 4500mAh, but even more exciting — with Warp Charge 65; it will take just 39 minutes to complete a full charge under normal usage. To prevent overheating while operating at a peak output of 65W, the “OnePlus 8T is equipped with 12 temperature sensors, along with an extra encryption chip in the adapter and cable.”
If you are in a 5G serviced area, you’ll be able to take full advantage of the flagship Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 5G Mobile Platform with a Snapdragon X55 5G Modem-RF System for “multi-gigabit 5G connectivity, professional-quality photography at Gigapixel speeds, desktop-level gaming with ultra-realistic graphics, and intuitive AI experiences.” The phone is also equipped with Wi-Fi 6 support for even faster and more reliable data speeds.
The OnePlus 8T has a quad-camera setup on its back, including a 16-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera lens, a 48-megapixel main camera, and a macro and a monochrome lens. The 123º ultra-wide-angle lens can capture even the largest or tallest areas in full-view; it is made to deliver clear shots in various lighting conditions, including poor lighting and the dark with the improved Nightscape mode. It can shoot 4K video at 30/60 fps, 1080p video at 30/60 fps, 1080p super-slow-motion video at 240 fps or 720p video at 480 fps, and 1080p time-lapse video at 30 fps or 4K at 30 fps. The front-facing 16-megapixel video features Electronic Image Stabilization (EIS) for steady photos and crisper, cleaner video.
The versatile OnePlus 8T camera kit covers even the most action-packed moments thanks to the advanced video stabilization software. The new Video Portrait mode produces vivid clips with a natural bokeh effect based on an improved AI, accurately detecting and analyzing human subjects and blurring out the background.
The OnePlus 8T is the first non-Google phone to launch with Android 11, and it is complemented with the latest update of OnePlus’s OxygenOS 11. OxygenOS 11 employs many new customizations for a more personalized experience, including their 11 new always-on display clock option, improved gesture controls, and Zen Mode 2.0.
