You might hear “Lenovo” and think “excellent business laptop,” but they do more than work hard. The Lenovo Legion line of gaming laptops aims to bring the same level of power and excellence to your gaming as they do to your day job (unless your day job title is Gamer). The latest Legion laptops and accessories are here to bring your gaming to the next level!
Before we get to the individual laptops, let’s talk about the technology Lenovo utilizes in all their gaming devices to give you that extra punch of power and speed.
The Latest Lenovo Legion Software and Hardware Tweaks
Lenovo Legion laptops stay cool with Lenovo Legion Coldfront 3.0, which has an 18% improvement in airflow over the prior generation. There are sensors all over the CPU, GPU, vents, memory, and palm rests to make sure nothing is overheating. They’ve also expanded the copper heat sink system and built more holes into the bottom cover and under the keyboard, so while you might be working up a sweat during a gaming session, your laptop isn’t.
They’re utilizing the Lenovo Legion TrueStrike keyboard, which has faster input speeds and a more mechanical key feel, plus optional RGB backlighting because lights always make you type faster. And now you can overclock with one-click using Lenovo Q-Control, which lets you optimize using AI-driven software and a new Intelligent Mode setting that will help boost performance where you need it.
Sadly, it will not summon John de Lancie to dress up and mock you as you play, despite being called Q-Control. Still, the idea here is that the Lenovo Legion AI Engine will be tying this all together to keep your computer running fast, smooth, and cool so you can keep calm and frag on. Finally, Legions will use Harman speakers with Nahimic Audio by SteelSeries, which will give you 7.1 surround sound whether you’re using external speakers or headsets.
On to the hardware!
Lenovo Legion 7
The Lenovo Legion 7 will have a 16″ screen, 100 sRGB color gamut, and a 16:10 aspect ratio for 11% more screen real estate. The screen is near-edgeless QHD, supports Dolby Vision and NVIDIA G-SYNC, and it is the first to be certified as a high gaming performance display with low blue light by TUV Rheinland, so hours of gaming won’t kill your eyes.
It comes in Storm Grey (which is much more intimidating than regular gray), a large glass touchpad, and if you crack it open for upgrades, there is a QR code so you can scan it to reference hardware information and service options quickly. The Lenovo Legion 7 is powered by AMD Ryzen Mobile Processors, Rapid Charge Boost, and up to next-gen NVIDIA GeForce RTX Laptop GPUs, as well as a built-in HD webcam with an e-shutter so no one can spy on you.
Legion 7 hits in June and is expected to start at $1,669.99.
Lenovo Legion Slim 7
Now you can game without the extra bulk! The Lenovo Legion Slim 7 is the thinnest and lightest gaming laptop ever made by Lenovo Legion. However, it still manages to rock a 15.6″ 4K screen with a 60hz refresh rate or an FHD display with a 165hz refresh rate, both with Dolby Vision.
It’s light thanks to a magnesium and aluminum blend, and comes in at just 1.9kg/4.2lbs, which is impressive for a gaming laptop! It also has a glass trackpad, either a white or optional RGB keyboard backlight, a fingerprint reader in the power button, and it comes in either Shadow Black or Storm Grey.
The Lenovo Legion Slim 7 is coming in May 2021, and pricing hasn’t yet been announced.
Lenovo Legion 5 Pro
Whether your dreams are to earn Fortnite glory or to push yourself to the limit, the Lenovo Legion 5 Pro is designed for hardcore gaming. It’s got a larger thermal intake and a quad ventilation system, so you can play for hours without your laptop doubling as a heating system.
The Lenovo Legion 5 Pro also has Dual Burn support, which has the CPU and GPU working together to improve frame rates. There’s also a 165hz refresh rate on the 16″ QHD display, what Lenovo says are “hair-trigger” inputs on the TrueStrike keyboard, and of course, all of Lenovo’s AI performance improvements.
Lenovo has also placed the camera on top of the screen to make live-streaming easier; there’s a 90% screen to body ratio, and of course, support for Dolby Vision and NVIDIA G-SYNC. It comes in Storm Grey or Stingray White.
Look for the Lenovo Legion 5 Pro in March, starting at $999.99.
Lenovo Legion 5
If you’re seeking an all-around solid gaming laptop, the Lenovo Legion 5 offers a lot of value. It comes in 15″ and 17″ screens, so you can go for portability or maximum screen size.
The 17″ version comes in Phantom Blue, while the 15″ variety is offered in Phantom Blue or Stingray White. Like their more powerful cousins, the Legion 5 line offers Q-Control and TruStrike keyboards, and they have AMD Ryzen Mobile CPUs and NVIDIA GeForce RTX GPUs.
The Lenovo Legion 5 is expected to start at $769.99 in March.

Lenovo Legion H600 Wireless Gaming Headset
The Lenovo Legion H600 Wireless Gaming Headset headphones have adjustable ear cups made from memory foam and a headband that can stretch and retract to fit your head, then rest on your neck during breaks. They also have a unidirectional noise-canceling microphone that can be flipped out of the way to mute.
Best of all, they can charge wirelessly via the Lenovo Legion S600 Gaming Station, a very cool extra touch that makes them both comfortable AND convenient.

Lenovo Legion S600 Gaming Station
A clean workspace is a happy workspace, and that goes for gaming too. The Lenovo Legion S600 Gaming Station is a Qi-enabled charging base with a handy hang-to-charge hook that can charge your Lenovo Legion H600 Wireless Gaming Headset.
The idea is that you can toss an external mouse, your phone, or anything else that can be Qi charged on the base while your headphones charge on the hook. Everything is neatly out of the way, charged, and ready for you when you’re ready to tackle your next epic battle! There are even two USB-A ports, so you can even easily charge your non-Qi devices.
The Lenovo Legion S600 Gaming Station should be available this April, starting at $89.99.
