Vivint Smart Switches and Bulbs Review: Retrofit Your Home and Make It Smarter with These Lighting Options

Vivint has been ever-expanding its home solutions for not only security but also for making your home smarter and more welcoming. You can now control your home’s lighting with the new Vivint smart switches and bulbs. A Vivint installer recently added some of these lighting options to our house, and the experience has been great.

The Vivint Smart Switch is a unique device that utilizes current light switches and converts them into smart switches, with no electrician or special wiring required! One-, two-, and three-button switches are available and will instantly transform your outdated light switches.

We added a double switch that controls our porch lights and hallway lights next to the front door. Our light fixtures also now hold Vivint smart light bulbs. The bulbs allow us to tune the color profile and adjust brightness for each light.

The smart bulbs look great on our front porch, and we could tune them to the color and brightness we prefer using the Vivint app. The lights are all grouped as switches, and then within the switch, each bulb is also grouped.

Once devices are grouped inside the app, they are easy to control; they are also available on the smart panel. You can set timers and turn on lights when you are away for more peace of mind.

The second of the two Vivint Smart Switches was installed for lighting in my bar. The switch for the lights is in the kitchen, and there is also a switch for kitchen lights. Vivint installed a smart switch for the bar lights while leaving the kitchen light switch as is.

I love this smart lighting and appreciate how they are all now incorporated into our existing Vivint system. The entire family can use them through the app, the smart panel, or simply by tapping the switch.

As has always been my experience, Vivint’s customer service was top-notch. Every installer I have worked with has been courteous, professional, and knowledgeable about all parts of the system and products.

The Vivint smart switches are a great addition to any home and were quickly installed without needing an electrician to handle any special wiring. With up to a three-switch option, any part of your home can become smarter. The Vivint smart bulbs are high quality and can be tuned and adjusted through the app to meet any specific need or mood.

The other night, we were running late getting home and forgot to turn on a light for our dogs. I pulled my phone out, turned the lights on, and dimmed them so the dogs could be comfortable until we got home.

The way all the products seamlessly integrate is amazing, and I highly recommend looking at Vivint’s smart switches and smart bulbs. Now, I want to get my entire house’s lighting system done by Vivint!
