First, Nomad released the Base One MagSafe wireless charger. It was a gorgeous combination of glass and metal. Then, they released the Base One Max, which added wireless charging for the Apple Watch. Now, there’s the Nomad Base One Max 3-in-1 MagSafe Charger; if you are all-in with Apple’s ecosystem, this is the charger you have been waiting for.

Three Nomad MagSafe wireless chargers

The Nomad Base One, Base One Mac, and Base One Max 3-in-1

The Nomad Base One was a terrific wireless charger for keeping your iPhone topped off. The metal and glass combine to create the most refined wireless charger I’ve seen. The magnets in the charging base align with the iPhone’s MagSafe charger, so you always get optimal charging speeds.

I still use the review sample daily. Unfortunately, I need to charge more than just my iPhone, so the Base One requires me to keep my Apple Watch charger handy.

The release of the Nomad Base One Max solved part of my issue by adding a wireless charger for the Apple Watch.

So, while the Base One is great at your desk, the Base One Max is better suited for the night table where you likely charge your Apple Watch overnight.

While the Base One Max solved the issue of charging my Apple Watch, I also use AirPods; to charge them, I still needed to keep a charging cable next to my bed.

The Nomad Base One Max 3-in-1 MagSafe Charger is the perfect solution for people like me; it has the same design as the original Base One Max but adds a charging spot for AirPods with wireless charging cases.

The Nomad Base One Max 3-in-1 MagSafe Charger has a high-quality metal chassis that looks and feels fantastic and has an impressive degree of heft. That’s great since it keeps the charger from moving around when placing or removing a phone from the charger.

On the back, offset to one side, is a single USB-C charging port.

Nomad includes a 2m USB-C to USB-C cable with the Base One Max 3-in-1, but you must supply your own 30W USB-C power adapter. If you don’t have one lying around, Nomad offers one for $30.

The section that charges phones looks exactly like the original Base One. It has a glass surface that reflects light and gives the charger a sense of depth and movement. It also prevents the surface from becoming scratched.

A white circle at the center houses the charging coils and magnets. As with the original Base One, when an iPhone is brought near the charging surface, the magnets take hold and not only grab the phone but align it perfectly for optimal charging at speeds up to 15W.

The rest of the Base One Max 3-in-1’s surface is made from smudge and scratch-resistant TPU.

An anti-slip rubber base with four rubber “feet” keeps the charger in place without damaging the surface upon which it is placed.

As did the Base One Max, the Nomad Base One Max 3-in-1 MagSafe Charger has an Apple Watch charger. It sits unobtrusively next to the phone charger and can deliver 5W of power when any model of the Apple Watch is placed on it.

And, because it holds the Apple Watch vertically while charging, the watch’s night mode can be used to check the time when the charger is used on a nightstand.

The feature that sets the new Nomad Base One Max 3-in-1 MagSafe Charger apart from the original Base One Max (which is still available for purchase) is the addition of a charging slot for Apple AirPods. This sits just behind the Apple Watch charger; the only indication is a small depression in the Base One Max 3-in-1’s surface.

Like the Apple Watch, AirPods receive 5W of power while charging.

The Nomad Base One Max 3-in-1 MagSafe Charger is sleek and organized; it charges an iPhone, Apple Watch, and AirPods simultaneously. That makes it the ideal charger for anyone fully invested in Apple’s mobile ecosystem.

I have an iPhone, Apple Watch Series 9, and AirPods Pro; as such, I am the ideal customer for the Nomad Base One Max 3-in-1 MagSafe Charger. I love that it gives me one organized place to charge all my devices overnight; it is, in fact, almost exactly the charger I was hoping Nomad would eventually release.

The only thing that could make the Nomad Base One Max 3-in-1 MagSafe Charger any better at all would be the addition of an auxiliary USB-C charging port on the back so I could plug in a cable and charge my iPad.

Sure, that would require something more powerful than the 30W wall adapter the Base One Max 3-in-1 needs, but adding that one port would make it the only charger an Apple fan needs. One Nomad Base One Max 3-in-1 MagSafe Charger at home and one at work would be all that you’d need to keep your devices charged and ready all day and all night!!

The magnets align and hold my phone in the proper position for optimal charging, and I wake up each day with my Apple Watch and AirPods fully charged. Best of all, the Nomad Base One Max 3-in-1 MagSafe Charger looks fantastic, so it’s something you’ll be happy to keep in any room at home or at work.
