The Lowdown
I’ve been really happy with the operation of the eufy Video Doorbell E340 and the eufy Floodlight Cam E340. I’ve never lost connection between the cameras and the HomeBase, so there hasn’t been any downtime. The quality of the security videos has improved so much since the last generation of cameras I reviewed.

Cons
Video doorbells have become a huge product sector after homeowners started being victimized by porch pirates, targeting deliveries from Amazon and other online retailers. In an aim to defeat porch pirates once and for all, there is a new eufy Video Doorbell E340 which offers dual cameras, one facing forward and one facing down, so you can see your packages. For lighting and security in other areas outside the home, there is the eufy Floodlight Cam E340.
Eufy’s latest line of dual-camera security cameras is seriously impressive, and we can confidently give our opinion since we’ve got 3 installed at our house right now.
Eufy was kind enough to send the Video Doorbell E340 and the Floodlight Cam E340 for testing in conjunction with our HomeBase 3.
It took some time to get them installed since we had freezing winter temperatures at my house the past couple of months, but once installed, we enjoyed the fact that we had much better vision all around our house.
Eufy Video Doorbell E340
The $179.99 eufy Video Doorbell E340 has two options: battery-powered and hard-wired. The battery powers wired mode, so even if the power goes out in the house, you still have some uptime before your battery runs out.
Two cameras are built into the Video Doorbell E340; there’s a front-facing camera that focuses on people and a downward-facing camera that offers a lower view, capable of seeing the floor in front of your door so you can see the packages left by the delivery person.
The main camera resolution is 2048 x 1536, while the bottom camera is 1600 x 1200, so you won’t have to worry about blurry, unrecognizable videos.
There are two — you read that right — two integrated LED lights built into the eufy Video Doorbell E340. These lights are motion-activated and provide a nice glow when your door is approached at night.
Not only does the light provide better vision at night, but there’s also the color night vision provided by the camera, which offers a 16′ viewing distance and allows you to see visitors clearly when it’s dark.
The doorbell camera includes Delivery Guard, which tells you when a package is delivered and when a package is picked up.
What’s great about this is that it creates an event when your package is both dropped and subsequently picked up, so you know whether it was a family member or a porch pirate who took it.
Not home? No worries, you can also use the eufy Security app to communicate with your would-be visitors or delivery drivers via the built-in speaker and the microphone on your mobile phone. You can do this with both your Video Doorbell and your Floodlight Cam.
Eufy Floodlight Cam E340
Now let’s get into the eufy Floodlight Cam E340. With dual cameras, 360-degree camera coverage, and a 2,000-lumen floodlight, it’s all you could ever hope for in a floodlight camera.
The telephoto camera captures details up to 50′ away; the wide-angle camera captures the entire area in 3K resolution and provides up to 8x digital zoom.
My favorite feature of the eufy Floodlight Cam E340 is the camera tilts and pans to follow the action. Comparing this to how my old eufy floodlight camera worked, it’s night and day since, with the old camera, you had no idea what was going on once the person/vehicle was out of frame.
But now, I can watch the entirety of my front lawn and my neighbors to see who is walking across our property.
The eufy Floodlight Cam E340’s 2000-lumen brightness is great. It ensures my driveway is properly illuminated at night and turns on automatically when motion is sensed.
You can set motion zones to prevent notifications about motion on your neighbor’s property or cars driving down the street, which is a nice way to reduce the number of notifications you receive.
I’ve said this in every eufy review I’ve ever done, and it bears repeating here. One of my favorite features of their security equipment is that all of your videos are stored locally when paired with their HomeBase unit. This means you don’t have to pay any huge monthly fees for cloud storage, which is a huge advantage in my mind.
The other nice thing about the HomeBase is it unlocks AI features. I love how the new generation of cameras will distinguish between different types of motion; for instance, it’ll tell me if a “stranger” is spotted vs “a vehicle” is spotted. You can even assign faces so it can tell if “Stacey” or “Perry” is spotted, which is nice.

I’ve been telling all my friends to check out eufy for their home security needs, and I’ll repeat that here. If you’re in the market for quality home security accessories, you should check out eufy and its subscription-free services.
The eufy Video Doorbell E340 sells for $179.99, and the eufy Floodlight Cam E340 sells for $219.99; they are available directly from the manufacturer and other retailers, including Amazon.
