Anker was founded in 2011; since then, the company has become a powerhouse in the mobile accessory market and the world’s number one charging brand. We included a number of their new offerings in our 2021 Holiday Gift Guide, but I wanted to dig deeper into the Anker 633 Magnetic Wireless Charger (MagGo), a 2-in-1 Wireless Charging Station.
After spending countless hours scouring the latest press releases, sitting through virtual embargoed showcases on new products, planning to be in Vegas, and once again having to attend virtually, we’ve found that the best-laid plans don’t always work out. Even so, we’ve compiled a list of some of the most innovative and exciting tech that came out of CES while trying to stay away from products that won’t ship or become available in 2022. So, without further ado, we present Gear Diary’s Best of CES 2022 Awards!
Anker has quickly become one of our favorite mobile device accessory companies; several of us use their chargers and other products all of the time. Anker’s announcements for CES include everything from new wall adapters to portable power stations to video conferencing bars and more. Here’s a look at a few that we have to look forward to in the new year.
The Soundcore Liberty 3 Pro True Wireless Noise Cancelling Earbuds are meant to provide immersive sound with touch controls, customizable HearID active noise cancelation that monitors outside ambient noise without putting too much pressure on your inner ears, and so much more. Most importantly, they are supposed to be comfortable to wear for hours on end while sounding fantastic. Can these TWE live up to the hype?
We’ve tested several Eufy robotic vacuums in my house, and the one thing my wife and I agree on is that the Eufy RoboVac X8 is the best we’ve tested so far. The combination of twin-turbine technology and iPath laser navigation makes the X8 an excellent choice for your next robotic vacuum.
Are you looking for a great pair of true wireless earbuds? If so, you’re going to love the Soundcore Liberty 3 Pro! They hit the sweet spot in size, features, and price! These flagship earbuds feature HearID active noise cancellation that automatically monitors outside ambient noise levels in real-time and in-ear pressure to tailor noise cancellation to match the situation. Add coaxial drivers, an ergonomic design, IPX4 water resistance, up to 32 =-hours battery life with the charging case, and a price well under $200, and you’ll see why the Liberty 3 Pro earbuds look like a winner!
You might feel like you have charger plugs all over the place, but do you have one in your travel kit exactly when you need it? And is it powerful enough to cover all your smartphone charging needs? Admit it; you’re not 100% sure now. It’s ok; the folks at Anker have your back with their new Anker Nano Pro plug.
Earbuds seem to keep getting better, and with the addition of active noise cancellation, they can allow users to just disappear in their audio. The Soundcore Liberty Air 2 Pro with targeted active noise cancellation fits the bill. Great sounding with long battery life and plenty of features make these a perfect option for any situation.
Earlier this year, Anker announced the limited edition Anker Nebula Capsule II R2-D2 version of their popular Nebula Capsule II smart mini projector to positive reception in this galaxy. We were able to get our hands on one of the 1000 units, and while it might become a collectible in the years to come, it’s also an excellent smart portable projector that you can enjoy right now.
I used to think that if we had a winter power outage lasting a week or more, Kev and I would be adequately prepared. We’d have plenty of drinking water on hand, piles of cut wood for the fireplace, our food would be safe (because, winter), and portable battery packs would power our electronics. Earlier this year, we got to find out just how unprepared we actually were when Texas got slammed with one winter storm after another, causing a massive power crisis. What would have made a huge difference for us during this disaster? The Anker PowerHouse II 800.
Eufy Security has just announced a host of new outdoor cameras, many of which offer 8GB on-device storage. The new devices include the eufy Security SoloCam E20 & SoloCam E40, the eufy Security SoloCam L20 & SoloCam L40, the solar-powered eufy Security SoloCam S40, and the eufy Floodlight Cam 2 Pro. Read on to see the details on these new security cameras and what they have to offer.
Inspired by Star Wars, Anker has announced that their Nebula Capsule II Star Wars R2-D2 Limited Edition Smart Mini Projector is now available for purchase. With only 1000 units available for sale, the Capsule II Star Wars projector may share similar specs to Nebula’s stock model, but there are two distinct differences. First, it will have a limited edition design resembling R2D2 — one of the most iconic characters in the Star Wars saga. And second, the start-up sound for this Capsule II will sound like R2-D2 as well.
If working through the pandemic has meant that you’ve been at home more than usual, then you’ve likely run into challenges that have made you wish for equipment upgrades. One of my biggest pain points has been virtual conference calls. Having to do so many virtual meetings in the past year has exposed how insufficient my iMac’s built-in webcam has always been. If you’ve felt let-down by your video conferencing set-up, then the new AnkerWork PowerConf C300 Webcam and the PowerConf S500 Conference Speaker might be of interest.
Who doesn’t love walking into a freshly vacuumed room that they didn’t have to clean themselves? I’ve been enjoying that with the Eufy RoboVac G30 Hybrid. Not only can it handle the daily morning vacuuming of my approximately 10′ x 14′ office, but it can even mop it for me — when I want it to.
Soundcore, Anker’s premium audio brand, took to the virtual stage the present the next generation of their Liberty truly-wireless earbud line, the Soundcore Liberty Air 2 Pro.
Anker is one of those brands that, even if you don’t think they make it, I can almost guarantee that they do. So when I heard that they’d be at CES this year with a host of never before seen products, my interest was already piqued. So exactly what does the brand have in store for 2021? Read on!
Word on the street is that Apple won’t be including a wall charger with their new iPhone 12 devices, but they’ll likely be selling an optional new 20W fast-charger. iPhone 12 buyers now have a choice to make: spend at least $30 on an Apple-branded 20W block, or take a look at the less expensive offerings from other companies. If you want one of the smallest fast-chargers available without paying Apple prices, a great choice would be the 20W Anker Power Port III Nano.
My brother-in-law wanted a video doorbell for the last few years, but none of them were quite right for his needs. His house doesn’t have doorbell wiring and the battery-powered video doorbells on the market were too bulky to fit the narrow space adjacent to his door. Plus, he wanted something without a monthly subscription. Enter the eufy battery-powered video doorbell.
Earlier this year at CES we reported that Anker’s subsidiary brand, Eufy, would be releasing a fleet of new vacuums to compete with the likes of Dyson, Roomba & Shark. The first to be released happens to be the HomeVac S11 Go & Homevac S11 Infinity, and we had the opportunity to check it out for ourselves, so let’s do it!
There are a ton of security cameras on the market these days, many of which charge monthly fees for you to access your own security camera recordings. My favorite thing about eufy Security is that their devices have excellent features and great quality video without charging cloud fees since all of your data is stored locally.
Anker’s Eufy brand has some of the best robot vacuums on the market, but sometimes you just want to get a quick cleanup, and there are certain areas that truly cannot be reached by the RoboVac. This is where Eufy’s H11 series comes into play.
