The Lowdown
The BLUETTI AC70 is a fantastic option for portable power needs; it is light and compact yet packed with features. With 768Wh of capacity and 1000W of output, there should be plenty of power to keep devices charged and run some appliances, with Power Lifting Mode allowing for some high-draw appliances like heaters.

BLUETTI has cemented itself as a mainstay in the portable power device category. Perfect for camping, the beach, or any summer traveling trip, these devices will keep your electronics charged and bring some of the comforts of home. The BLUETTI AC70 Portable Power Station is a lightweight addition to their lineup that packs a punch with plenty of features.
The BLUETTI AC70 is a LiFePO4 (Lithium Iron Phosphate) power station that offers a whopping 768Wh of power with 1000W continuous output. The unit is compact and only weighs 22.5 pounds. It measures 12.4″ long by 10.1″ tall by 8.2″ deep, which is a small package considering the battery capacity and features.
The portable power station includes solar cables, a car charging cable, as well as a wall plug and grounding screw. I would have liked it if a small storage bag was included for the cables, but keeping up with just three cords is not too difficult.
The BLUETTI AC70 can be charged via AC input up to 950W and automatically stops charging when fully charged. With the AC Turbo Charging, the batteries will charge 0-80% in just 45 minutes.
The 12V/10A car adapter can be used to charge while traveling. It allows up to 500W of solar input for super-fast charging in just two hours.
If you need to use energy-intensive devices such as hairdryers, electric blankets, heaters, etc., enable the Power Lifting Mode, which can handle up to 2,000W. You can turn on Power Lifting Mode from the mobile app.
The front of the BLUETTI AC70 contains the display screen and all outputs: two 120v AC Outputs, one 12V/10A car adapter, and two USB-C and USB-A ports, which should be plenty of output for any road trip or camping trip. The front also includes solar input, and the AC charging port is on the right side.
The display screen is bright and easy to read; it contains all the input and output information, the hours of battery left, and the percent of charge. The display makes it easy to manage power and plan for use and charging needs.
The BLUETTI app connects to the portable power station via Bluetooth and displays all of the information found on the device and additional settings.

I love how fast the power station recharges, and with up to 500W of solar input, this battery could easily stay off the grid full time and have plenty of power to run what you need. It’s the perfect in-between-sized device for camping and beach trips.
The BLUETTI AC70 Portable Power Station sells for $699; it is available directly from the manufacturer and other retailers, including Amazon.
Mother’s Day Sale: From May 10 through May 22, 2024, BLUETTI is offering $250 off the AC70, bringing its price to just $449.

What I Like: Portable LiFePO? battery that offers plenty of power; Easy to read display; Great mobile app; Fast charging
What Needs Improvement: A minor quibble, but it would be nice if a carry bag for the cables was included
This looks like something that would be useful to have on camping trips and similar. Not sure if we could run a couple strings of lights for a parade float or not, but if it can do that as well, my wife would be a fan.
