Cons

Portable power stations come in many sizes and use cases. We recently reviewed the Ampace Andes 600 Pro, a great medium-sized power option. The Andes 1500 portable power station has a fast-charging, large-capacity battery and higher output. It sports the same design and build qualities as its smaller sibling and will be a great power option.

The Ampace Andes 1500 has 1462Wh of battery capacity and a whopping 2400W output power, which should be enough to run about 99% of household appliances, which is perfect during any natural disaster or extended power outage. It weighs 36.8 pounds and measures 17.2″ tall by 7″ wide by 13.2″ long. While this is a larger capacity power station, it is designed to be easy to carry and is still ultra-portable. It includes a charging cable and car adapter, so it is ready to use right out of the box.

Colored LED light bars are on top of the Ampace Andes 1500 and can be toggled on or off and programmed via the mobile app. It is a fun touch, but I like how the lights will turn green to signal a full charge. There is also an area light on the front that has multiple modes and can be controlled on the app.

The rear of the Ampace Andes 1500 power station includes five 2400W AC output sockets. This is where you will plug in computers or larger appliances.

The Andes 1500 can be used as an emergency power supply, and it will switch power over in 20ms during a power outage, ensuring devices are constantly powered. This is also where the AC and Solar charging cables can be connected.

The Ampace Andes 1500 boasts a blazing-fast charging capability, going from empty to full in only 55 minutes, up to 50% faster than many similar products. Providing 600W of solar will recharge the battery in only 3-5 hours, which can be a lifesaver in emergencies. There is also a port on the side to connect multiple batteries for added battery needs.

Extra battery port on the Ampace Andes 1500

The front of the Ampace Andes 1500 power station includes four 12W USB-A ports, two 100W USB-C ports, one 120W car outlet, and two DC5521 120W outputs. With a total of 13 outlets, the Andes 1500 should power all your essentials anywhere.

The colored display includes all the important information and is easy to read; recharging times, remaining charged, and input and output Watts can all be monitored from the screen.

The Ampace mobile app is well-designed and easy to use. It allows users to monitor and toggle any connected devices and control the lights. The device connects automatically and is easy to add to the app.
