Phones are cool enough, but you’ll often see a collaboration with another company when a brand wants to do something over the top. Sometimes it’s fashion or a musical group. This time, Poco decided to work with Marvel and arguably its most popular character in the franchise, Iron Man. Never mind that Iron Man died almost six years ago (spoiler alert); the character’s popularity is still around today. So Tony Stark has suited up one last time, pulling out all the stops on this Poco X7 Pro Iron Edition. Let’s unbox it and see what Poco has in store!
To put things into perspective, I was sent the Poco X7 and the Poco X7 Pro Iron Man Edition. There aren’t a lot of differences between the two. It’s mainly the screen, the overall build, and the processor where you’ll see the key differences. The cameras are basically the same on paper, and because of that, to add an extra bit of depth to this unboxing, all of the photos save the first one (with the Poco X7 in it) were taken with the X7, so you can get an idea of how the camera performs.

We start off with a huge Iron Man logo and Mask on the top of the box, and around the edges, there are some extra details — Tony Stark’s name on the lid and a quote from him on the back that says, “My name is Tony Stark. Iron Man. Kinda sorat famous where I’m from.” I’m sure that was meant to be “sorta”; he thought we wouldn’t notice… but we did. [Author’s Note: this is a quote from Tony Stark in “Avengers.”]

When you open the lid, it does that neat thing where the box lifts up and turns into a display case of sorts. You’re presented with a card that holds the coolest SIM tray tool I’ve ever seen. It’s shaped like Tony’s original arc reactor, last seen floating across the lake at Tony’s home at the end of “Avengers: Endgame.”

Under that is the phone itself. Once you unwrap the plastic, you’re treated to the back of the phone, which is really gorgeous. It has an Iron Man-like pattern with the Iron Man mask embossed in the middle, surrounded by another arc reactor. Below the mask is a “Marvel Avengers” logo. The side button is accented in the same color, red. It’s really stunning.

Inside the case, you get a MediaTek 8400 processor, 12 GB of RAM, 512 GB of ROM, and a 6,000 mAh battery. The screen is a 6.67″ AMOLED panel that refreshes up to 120Hz, and it’s covered with Corning Gorilla Glass 7i.
The phone handles 90W of wired charging but doesn’t include a charging brick in the box. However, it does include a red charging cable with a black rubber tie bearing Tony Stark’s signature and yet another arc reactor on the USB-A side of the cable.

Once you power the phone on and get it set up, the default skin is also Iron Man-themed. Most of the built-in apps have custom skins in the same color, red. Non-native apps have their normal icons, with a red outline that almost but not quite makes them fit in with the theme.

When you flip down the front of the box below the phone, you get an additional box with the normal documentation, the aforementioned cable, and a barely-there case to protect the phone without covering up all the cool stuff. It’s a great package.

Overall, if you’re a Marvel fan, the Poco X7 Pro Iron Man Edition is a killer phone to bust out at your next con. It’s definitely a conversation starter. This phone hovers somewhere between the midrange and premium space, so it’s already a good deal, and the Iron Man styling takes it right over the top.

Meanwhile, If you’re a DC fan, wait another few years until they reboot the universe…again…and maybe Poco can bring you a Batman phone.
The Poco X7 Pro Iron Man Edition is an absolute must-have for Marvel fans and collectors. With its bold design, themed UI, and intricate packaging, it’s more than just a phone—it’s a tribute to Tony Stark himself. The included details, from the arc reactor SIM tool to the striking embossed back, make it a true conversation starter. However, there’s a catch: it won’t work with most US carriers, so it’s more of a display piece than a daily driver for those stateside. I managed to use the phone on T-Mobile’s network but was limited to LTE and voice calls. If you’re a hardcore fan, it’s a fantastic collectible. Just don’t expect to make calls with it here.
Paging Tony Stark! All jokes aside, thanks Adam for the review and testing it on the TMobile network. I will do the same now.
I don’t care it’s not working with US networks. It’s a piece of art! ?
It’s a nice looking phone, though it’s unfortunate that it doesn’t fully work with US networks. I’d guess that Spider-Man is more popular than Iron Man, though they’d probably have had to make a deal with Sony for those rights.
Really cool design. I wish it didn’t have Iron Man’s head and the branding on the back and kept it a bit more low-key. But it does look really nice.
That’s awesome!
