Statik State PowerBank Offers a Safer Spin on Everyday Charging

Portable chargers are everywhere, but the new Statik State PowerBank isn’t just another Qi-enabled slab of plastic with a battery inside. It borrows safety tech from the same lithium-ion advancements used in electric vehicles and packages it into a slim, magnetic wireless charger designed for daily life. If you’ve ever worried about a power bank running hot in your bag or wondered how long yours will actually last before it gives up the ghost, Statik is making the case that it has found a better way.

What Makes This Battery Different

Most of the power banks on the market still rely on the same standard lithium-ion setup that has been around for years. Statik decided to skip that playbook and instead use a semi-solid lithium-ion battery. Without getting lost in chemistry, the “semi-solid” part means the battery uses a thicker gel-like substance instead of a fully liquid electrolyte.

Why does that matter to you? For one, the design is far less likely to overheat or cause those nightmare scenarios you’ve seen online where a damaged battery suddenly turns into a campfire.

Statik has even posted a video of someone intentionally damaging the PowerBank, and the battery continues to offer a charge without becoming a flaming spectacle!

That level of safety doesn’t just sound good; it makes it a lot easier to trust tossing it in a purse, backpack, or carry-on without a second thought.

Cooler, Longer, Safer

Statik didn’t stop at safety. Semi-solid batteries are also more efficient and more durable. The company says this battery is 30 percent more efficient than traditional lithium-ion versions, which means you get more usable power out of the same size. It also runs 24% cooler while it’s charging your devices and 32% cooler when you’re recharging the power bank itself.

If you’ve ever pulled a hot power bank out of your pocket and wondered if that was normal, this design should put your mind at ease. On top of that, the semi-solid build promises about twice the shelf life, so you won’t be stuck replacing it after just a couple of years of use.

Charging Options That Fit Real Life

The Statik State PowerBank isn’t just about what’s inside. The outside is designed to make everyday charging easier. It’s Qi-enabled, so you can snap it magnetically to a phone and charge wirelessly at up to 15 watts. That’s plenty fast for topping up when you’re on the move, and it means fewer tangled cords when you just need a quick boost.

For those times when you want more speed or need to charge something that isn’t wireless-friendly, there’s a USB-C Power Delivery port. That port supports up to 18 watts of output, which is solid for phones, earbuds, and even smaller tablets. The same port also recharges the power bank itself, keeping things simple.

How Much Power Are You Carrying?

The Statik State PowerBank carries a 5000 milliamp-hour capacity, which puts it in the sweet spot for daily carry. That translates to roughly one full recharge for most smartphones or multiple top-ups throughout the day if you just need quick boosts.

It’s not the kind of charger meant to power your laptop through a flight, but it’s exactly the kind of pocketable backup that can save you when you’re running between meetings or stuck in an airport with only one outlet in sight.

Price and Availability

Statik is aiming to ship the Statik State PowerBank on September 20, and it’s priced at $59.99. Considering the promise of double the lifespan and the safety tech it brings, that’s not a bad tradeoff compared to the cycle of buying cheaper banks that wear out or leave you nervous about slipping them into your bag; you can click here to learn more.
