I’ll be honest, when I first heard of an electric wagon, I thought it sounded kind of gimmicky. An electric wagon? Really? But after dealing with way too many back-breaking camping trips and sports tournaments, I decided to give the Litheli W1 Pro a shot. Retailing for $219.99, it’s surprisingly helpful when you need to carry a bundle.
What Got Me Interested
The Litheli W1 Pro boasts a 200L capacity (that’s huge), can handle 132 pounds, and features a “100% pure electric drive” that’s supposed to do all the work for you. Plus, it comes with two 20,000 mAh batteries and can even charge your phone. Sounded too good to be true, but I was tired of my back hurting every time I had to haul gear back and forth during lacrosse tournaments or mulch around the yard.
The Stuff That Actually Works Really Well
The Motor is Legit
This was the biggest surprise. The electric motor actually works exactly as described. I loaded this thing up with probably 100+ pounds of gear, hit the power button, and it just… went. No pulling, no straining. You literally just walk next to it and steer. The speed adjustment is pretty sweet too – you can match it to however fast you want to walk. And when I tested it on the hill my house is on (which is pretty steep), it climbed right up without any issues. It was slow, but way better than pulling it myself.
Two Batteries = Game Changer
Having two batteries is honestly brilliant. You can use one all day, and then when the battery is drained, you can simply swap it out with a fresh battery. No waiting around. Plus, the batteries can charge your phone or tablet, which can be super handy during a camping trip with limited power options to keep your phones charged.
Loading and Unloading is Easy
The back gate drops down, making it much easier to get stuff in and out. I don’t have to lift heavy bags over the sides. The handle adjusts to different heights, too, so both my wife and I can use it comfortably. Those chunky tires roll over pretty much anything – grass, gravel, dirt, pavement, you name it.
The Not-So-Great Parts
This Thing Is HEAVY
Man, this is probably my biggest complaint. When the motor’s on, the Litheli W1 Pro Electric Foldable Utility Camping Wagon is amazing. But when you need to move it around manually – like getting it out of the garage, positioning it for loading, or lifting it into your car – it’s a real workout. I’m not a weakling, and even I struggle with it sometimes. My wife is strong, and she also has trouble maneuvering it while folded.
Folding Isn’t Very Easy
Litheli makes a big deal about how the W1 Pro folds up super quickly and compactly. That’s… not really true. Yeah, it folds, but it takes some wrestling to get it right, and even when it’s folded, it’s still pretty bulky. I have to keep it in my shed, as it definitely doesn’t fit very well in the corner of my garage where I had hoped it would. It also takes up a decent amount of trunk space in our SUV.
Folding and unfolding this thing is a bit of a hassle. To fold the wagon, you pull a tab in the middle to bring the sides together, which in turn folds the frame. The issue is that the wagon interior is held onto the frame with Velcro, and the frame is so heavy that the Velcro comes undone easily, making it more difficult than advertised to fold. When you’re trying to pack up at the end of a long day of hauling or yard work, the last thing you want is to fight with your wagon for 10 minutes.
I’m Worried About the Fabric
The material feels pretty sturdy, but I’ve noticed the seams getting stressed even when I’m not loading it to the max. I’ve only had it for about 6 weeks, so I can’t say if it’ll hold up long-term, but it makes me a little nervous about spending this much money on something that might not last.
Should You Buy One?
Look, the Litheli W1 Pro Electric Foldable Utility Camping Wagon isn’t cheap, and it’s definitely not perfect. But if you’re someone who regularly hauls heavy stuff over distances, it can genuinely change your life.
