Statik SmartCharge Pro Is a $99 15,000mAh GaN Charger That Powers Your Laptop, Phone, and Apple Watch Anywhere

The Statik SmartCharge Pro is a $99 portable battery and wall charger hybrid designed to consolidate the tangle of cables and power bricks that tend to accumulate in your bag. With a 15,000mAh battery, built-in USB-C cable, wireless charging pad, and international plug adapters, it promises to handle everything from your phone to your laptop in a single, travel-friendly device. That’s an ambitious claim. The real question is whether it earns the space it takes up in your carry-on.

A Charger That Doubles as a Power Bank

The Statik SmartCharge Pro is both a wall charger and a battery pack. Plug it directly into the wall, and it functions as a 60W GaN charger. GaN, or gallium nitride, is a newer semiconductor material that enables chargers to run more efficiently and stay cooler while delivering higher wattage in a smaller form factor. In practical terms, that means it can fast-charge a laptop like a MacBook Air or even a MacBook Pro without requiring a separate, bulky adapter.

Unplug it from the wall, and the internal 15,000mAh lithium-ion battery takes over. That capacity translates to 54 watt hours, which is well within airline carry-on limits. Statik says you can recharge a typical smartphone up to twice as much, or give your laptop a meaningful boost, when you are nowhere near an outlet. If you work from airports, coffee shops, or the sidelines of your kid’s soccer game, that extra cushion could mean finishing the project instead of hunting for a wall socket.

Charging the unit itself takes between 75 and 90 minutes, which is relatively quick for a battery this size.

Ports, Pads, and One Less Cable to Forget

The Statik SmartCharge Pro includes a built-in USB-C cable rated for up to 60W output in battery mode. That detail matters because 60W is enough to power many thin and light laptops, not just phones and tablets. There’s also a separate USB-C port that delivers up to 60W when running on the battery, along with a USB-A port capable of 18W for older devices.

In wall adapter mode, output is capped at 30W through the USB-C cable and port. That’s still enough for fast charging a laptop or tablet, but it’s worth noting the difference if you plan to rely on it primarily as a wall charger.

Wireless charging is built in as well. A Qi2-compatible magnetic pad delivers up to 15W to supported phones and earbuds. Qi2 is the newer standard that aligns magnets in compatible phones for more efficient wireless charging, similar to MagSafe. There’s also a smaller 5W magnetic charging puck for fast charging an Apple Watch.

If you carry an iPhone, AirPods, and Apple Watch, you can place all three on the Statik SmartCharge Pro and avoid separate cables entirely; this setup makes hotel nightstands or cramped airplane tray tables feel far less chaotic.

There is one caveat: While the SmartCharge Pro works with MagSafe and Qi2 phones and with Apple Watch, it isn’t compatible with Android or Samsung smart watches. If you are deep in the Samsung ecosystem, you will still need a separate watch charger.

Designed for Travel, Not Just the Desk

The Statik SmartCharge Pro includes snap-on adapters for EU, UK, and AU outlets, so you can plug directly into wall outlets in over 200 countries without packing extra converters. The input range of 100 to 240 volts at 50 or 60Hz covers standard global voltage. If you travel internationally even a few times a year, consolidating your charger and adapter into one device is appealing.

The SmartCharge Pro measures 4.33″ by 3.54″ by 1.30″ and weighs 13.05 ounces, which isn’t exactly light in the pocket, but it is compact enough to slip into a backpack or larger purse. The shell is made of polycarbonate and available in Black or Blaze Orange. The orange option may sound flashy, but it’s also harder to forget in a hotel room.

The design leans slightly toward angular rather than rounded, giving it a more intentional, industrial feel. It looks less like a disposable battery pack and more like a piece of gear you expect to keep.

How It Fits Into Real Life

The Statik SmartCharge Pro makes the most sense if you regularly carry multiple devices and dislike cable clutter. Imagine boarding a cross-country flight with a laptop at 40 percent, a phone at 30 percent, and an Apple Watch that never seems to last the whole travel day. You could plug the SmartCharge Pro into the airport wall while you wait, top everything off, then unplug and keep charging mid-flight without juggling multiple bricks.

It’s also useful in more mundane scenarios. If your living room only has one accessible outlet, you can plug this into the wall and charge several devices at once, then pick it up and move to another room with reserve power still inside.

The pass-through charging feature helps here. When plugged into the wall, the SmartCharge Pro prioritizes charging your connected devices first and then refills its own internal battery. In practice, that means you can leave it plugged in overnight and wake up with both your gear and the power bank itself fully charged.

Is It Worth $99?

At $99, the Statik SmartCharge Pro isn’t the cheapest 15,000mAh battery pack on the market. It’s also not the cheapest 60W GaN wall charger. The value lies in the consolidation. If you already carry a laptop charger, a power bank, a wireless charger, a watch puck, and a handful of international adapters, combining those into one device can justify the price and free up space.

On the other hand, if you rarely travel and mostly charge one device at a time, this may feel like overkill.

For anyone tired of untangling cables in a hotel room or digging through a backpack for the right adapter, this is a thoughtful attempt to simplify the daily power routine. Whether it replaces your entire charger drawer depends on how much you value consolidation over minimalism.

  1. The SmartCharge Pro seems pretty versatile. One possible problem is that it might be hard to plug into crowded outlets.
