It has been a while since we covered one of my most-used iPhone and iPad apps but there is some great news about Dragon Dictation that is worth sharing.
First off, a big congrats to Nuance on the inclusion of the Dragon Dictation app in the iTunes “Hall of Fame”. That’s right, out of the hundreds of thousand apps in the App store Dragon Dictation was selected as one of the 50 to be included by Apple in the iTunes Hall of Fame. Personally I could not agree more. In fact, I would easily put it in the top dozen were it up to me. 🙂
You can read all about it here.
The other big news has to do with Dragon Dictation’s ever-expanding universe of languages. Version 2.0 of the app brought support for multiple languages and the promise that new language support would be rolled out over time. Initially there was support for American and UK English and German. They then added support for French. That was followed by the addition of Italian. And now comes…
…support for Spanish. Yes, Dragon Dictation now supports Spanish.
There is no question that Nuance is continuing to develop their mobile apps at a rapid pace and there looks to be no slowing down any time soon. That is a great thing for all of us. Seriously, if you have an iPhone or a Blackberry and have not tried Dragon I can’t encourage you strongly enough. Try it… you’ll like it.
