Incipio feather SHINE for iPhone 5 Review

Incipio feather SHINE for iPhone 5 Review

My favorite case is “no case”. Unfortunately, “no case” also means “no protection” and with a phone whose unlocked cost approaches $1000, that’s not an option. That’s why I’ve always been a fan of Incipio’s feather cases. They don’t offer a great deal of drop protection but they do help keep scratches at bay. Incipio offers the traditional feather for the iPhone 5 but they also have the feather SHINE for iPhone 5. Here’s a look…

From Incipio:

feather SHINE – The feather® Shine for iPhone 5 remains sleek while providing full access to your media functions. The feather® Shine is made with a high-density Plextonium™ frame and a radio transparent brushed aluminum finish that does not interfere with reception.

Incipio sent four cases for review last week. This is the one I have been using since then. That pretty much says everything that needs to be said! Learn more and order yours here.

MSRP: $29.99

What I Like: Light; Minimalist; Looks and feels great; Includes a screen protector and stand

What Needs Improvement: Won’t offer much protection for your iPhone 5 if you drop it

About the Author

Dan Cohen
Having a father who was heavily involved in early laser and fiber-optical research, Dan grew up surrounded by technology and gadgets. Dan’s father brought home one of the very first video games when he was young and Dan remembers seeing a “pre-release” touchtone phone. (When he asked his father what the “#” and “*” buttons were his dad said, “Some day, far in the future, we’ll have some use for them.”) Technology seemed to be in Dan’s blood but at some point he took a different path and ended up in the clergy. His passion for technology and gadgets never left him. Dan is married to Raina Goldberg who is also an avid user of Apple products. They live in New Jersey with their golden doodle Nava.

Nice mat…but please don’t focus on it – and focus on the case instead. Thanx.
