Incipio Stashback for iPhone 5 Review

Gear Diary Incipio iPhone 5 Stash 10 1

This is the third of three Incipio iPhone 5 case reviews. This time out we are looking at the STASHBACK Dockable Credit Card Case. This case looks like a simple shell style iPhone 5 case but it doubles as a wallet. Better yet, it is not apparent to anyone looking at the case that it holds credit cards, ID or cash. That’s a great benefit if you want to go out for the day carrying just your iPhone.

Let’s face it, we all left the house without our wallet at some time or another (some people even go to the airport forgetting their passport but that’s another post) but none of us leave the house without our phone. Having your driver’s license, a credit card and some cash stowed in your iPhone case is a great way to ensure you don’t leave home without the essentials. Better still, the bottom of the case flips open and not only gives you access to your cards but also makes this case dock able in most every dock designed for the iPhone 5. Here’s a look.

Of the three cases we have looked at in this series I like this one the best. It’s a relatively simple case but the ability to double as a wallet when and if you need that functionality is quite nice. I could easily see using this case on a daily basis and only taking advantage of the wallet functionality when you need to.

What I Like: Simple, sleek and good-looking; Offers 360° protection for your iPhone including some lay-on-the-table protection; Includes screen protector

What Needs Improvement: Wallet area adds a slight bump. If you are looking for the thinnest possible case this isn’t for you.

  1. I love the fact that you can store your id/credit cards and such in the case! I read the newsletter and want to win this case.

  2. I love the color scheme and the fact its one piece. I read the newsletter and want to win this case.

  3. How many cards can fit in that space? Looks like there’s enough room for two or three? I read the newsletter and want to win this case.

  4. One thing I like is it is one piece. One thing that concerns me is it adds the thickness of the case due to 3 cards storage compartment. However, for the purpose of traveling, it may be a good choice. I read the newsletter and want to win this case.
