Sena Vettra for iPad mini

The Sena Vettra for iPad mini arrived at my house the other day. The case, which is currently on the Sena website as a pre-order item that will ship mid-March 2013, is $69.95. (While on pre-order it is just $59.95.) I pulled out the Sena Vettra for iPad mini and the following exchange took place.

Elana: Oh. Wow. Nice. Whose case is that?
Me: Sena
Elana: Of course it is. I think that is the nicest iPad mini case you have gotten. No, let me correct that. I think that is the nicest iPad case I have seen. Period.
Me: (laughing) Uhm, that is verbatim what I just wrote in an email to them.
Elana: How much is it?
Me: Just under $70.
Elana: At double that I would still tell you to buy one if you didn’t have this review sample.

Yes, the Sena Vettra for iPad mini is gorgeous and eye-catching. Best of all, it is a practical case that respects the clean lines and thin, light design of the iPad mini. The Sena Vettra for iPad mini is also one of the more unusual iPad mini cases I have seen, thanks to its unusual method of securing the iPad mini inside. Let’s take a look at the case on video.

I have been accused of “gushing” too much over accessories that really catch my eye. Well … consider me to be gushing over the Sena Vettra for iPad mini. I mean, have you seen a case with a more unusual method of holding the iPad mini in place? And have you seen a case that is as thin as thisone, while still providing “book-like” protection? And have you ever seen a case that is refined as this case? Or one that is as thin, elegant and sleek as this? As Elana put it, “It has all the classic features you might want with modern styling. There is something for everyone with this case.”

I was trying to think of another that even comes close to the Sena Vettra for iPad mini. Best I could come up with was that this case reminds me of the cases from DodoCase, but — thanks to the design — it is thinner and even more refined. It truly makes the experience of holding the iPad mini feel like you are holding a classic leather-bound book; I love it.

The Sena Vettra for iPad mini has everything I want in an iPad mini case. It is thin and elegant book style case that works well in both a casual and a professional setting. casual or professional settings. It has a built-in stand, camera cutout, and magnetic closure that activates the sleep function. It even has a magnetic leather tab that keeps the case closed when not in use and holds the cover back when using the iPad with one hand. I usually don’t like this means of keeping an iPad closed but, in the case of the Sena Vettra for iPad mini I don’t mind it at all.

What I Like: Thin; Light; Elegant; Gorgeous; Magnetic sleep awake functionality; Built in stand; Unique method of gripping the iPad; Magnetic tab holds the cover closed or open

What Needs Improvement: From my perspective nothing; From anyone else’s perspective the only negative is that there is NO WAY this review sample is going to be a giveaway item. Nope, this is a keeper
