TYLT BAND for the iPhone 5C Review – Colorful Protection

Gear Diary TYLT BAND 10

If you are looking to add a bit of color and protection to your iPhone 5C, then you’ll want to check out the TYLT BAND. For just $34.95, the BAND wraps your iPhone 5C in a case that is rugged yet flexible. The impact resistant shell may not look like much, but it offers decent protection. You can pre-order now.

The TYLT BAND gets its name from the colored band running across its back. The case has a liner and facing edge made from soft TPE. The back and sides are made from a tough, flexible, impact resistant shell. Putting them together yields good protection in a case looks more minimalist than it does protective.

Inside the colorful packaging you’ll find the case and nothing else. Well, that’s not exactly true, since there is some paperwork in the box. The point is, this case is designed in such a way that it offers decent protection while looking like a thin, simple case rather than a protective one.

The BAND features:

A hard outer shell with cushy liner.

Shock-proof protection.

A slim-line design adds minimal depth.

A raised edge that offers a good bit of lay-on-the-table protection

A design that easily slides in and out of pockets.

Available in 3 accent colors, the TYLT BAND has a different look and feel than similarly-priced cases that isn’t immediately apparent when one first see it. The blending of two materials with different colors and feel is a bit reminiscent of Speck’s CandyShell cases, although there is no mistaking one for the other. And while the case feels quite nice in the hand, it also promises to keep your colorful iPhone looking sharp. The TYLT website shows the BAND as available for pre-order. We’ll let you know when it is shipping. In the meantime you can check out more details here.
