The NFL football season has always had strong public support for fighting breast cancer with various gear and will feature players wearing the now famous pink gear apparel and ribbons plus a “Crucial Catch Day” on October 25 where people can bid on game-worn gear to raise funds for breast cancer treatment and support.

The film Decoding Annie Parker hots home video thanks to Entertainment One. This drama is based on true events over 15 years of a cancer survivor named Annie Parker and talented geneticist Mary-Claire King played by Samantha Morton and Helen Hunt respectively. King is convinced there is a link between DNA and cancer – even if no one in her profession shares her belief.  Against the advice of nearly all her colleagues, she persists in her research and it’s her dogged pursuit for funding that leads to the groundbreaking study that draws the two women together.

Maggie Grace, Aaron Paul, Rashida Jones, Alice Eve and Corey Stoll co-star. This film raised over a million dollars for related charities in an early 2013 31-city tour. Gamers get show their support with BANDAI NAMCO’s Ms. PAC-MAN Pink Ribbon Campaign with new gameplay incentives across the mobile games to raise funds for the National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF) to help women now and inspire hope to those affected by breast cancer through early detection, education and support services. The games included in this campaign (until October 31) are Pac-Man/Ms Pac-Man (regular and Lite versions on iOS), Ms. Pac-Man for iPad and IPad Lite on iOS, Ms. Pac-Man on Android and Pac-Man + Tournaments on Android.

Several reputable organizations offer helpful information about breast cancer including the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. The first National Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October began in 1985, and participants can offer support in several ways including the uGive app.
