HBO is available through Sling TV service…now! It’s a considerate gesture before the “Game of Thrones” and “Silicon Valley” premieres on Sunday, April 12, for those Sling TV package subscribers who have the standard “Best of Live TV” at $15 per month.
Ready for an HBO viewing bonus? Sling TV will also include three additional streams of HBO content in addition to the single-stream dedicated to its core and add-on packages.
Last month Sling TV did a similar move when they debuted AMC (formerly American Movie Classics), which features shows like The Walking Dead, Better Call Saul and Mad Men. Look for services to continue growing at a rapid rate at Sling TV in the future!
Here are details on the Sling TV update as well:
1. Various enhancements to reduce overhead and load on our servers. This will allow us to provide a more seamless experience to all customers
during periods of heavy viewership.
2. Addition of parental controls across all channels that give customers the ability to manage TV shows by rating.
3. Mini guide updates that make it easier for customers to find shows by subject/genre on the following devices: Amazon Fire TV, Amazon Fire TV Stick, Roku players, Roku TV models and Xbox One.
4. Sling TV’s “Best of Live TV” $20 core package delivers ESPN, ESPN2, AMC, A&E, TNT, HISTORY, H2, TBS, Food Network, HGTV, Travel Channel, IFC, El Rey, Adult Swim, Cartoon Network, ABC Family, Disney Channel, CNN, Lifetime and Galavision.
This package additionally features access to WatchESPN, including ESPN3 and an array of VOD entertainment. Customers can choose to tailor their entertainment experience with the addition of HBO for $15 per month, or with the optional “Sports Extra,” “Hollywood Extra,” “Kids Extra,” “Lifestyle Extra” and “World News Extra” add-ons, each priced at $5 per month. In addition to live channels and VOD entertainment, Sling TV customers have access to content from Maker Studios.
