Partnering with the Funai Corporation, Philips has just announced their first 4k UDH Android TV with two different series and five different display sizes; you’ll certainly want to check out.

Philips is one of those brands where you know that their products are going to be great, not just because of the brand name, but because of their history of fine-tuning every single detail from their electronics — all while adding new innovations that make the use of the product more simple and easier to use. This is definitely the case with the Philips 4k UHD Android TV and its two models: The 5704 and 5904 series. Providing the most technologically advanced viewing experience that can be offered, the UHD Android TV comes with Android 8.0 built-in, giving you the ability to use apps like Netflix, VUDU, YouTube, Plex, and thousands of other Google Play apps and games that are available.

Each of the models come equipped with a Bluetooth near-field mic remote that allows you to control using your voice thanks to Google Assistant. Imagine being able to search for content rather than pressing endless buttons. Not only useful for asking your TV to “Play Bird Box on Netflix”, both the 5704 and 5904 allow you to control your home with any Google Assistant enabled product such as the Philips Hue Play, Nest thermostat or even your Logi Circle Cam. There’s also Chromecast Built-in which is helpful for freeing up an additional HDMI port you’d otherwise be using to mirror your photos, movies, and apps from your phone.

“Combining Funai’s innovative display technology with the Android TV platform gives users a new central hub for their home and provides endless entertainment options for all viewers,” says Youssef Ibrahim, Sr. Product Marketing Manager, Funai Corporation, Inc. “The new series not only gives users instant access to their favorite entertainment programs in 4K, it can also control smart lights, thermostats, cameras, and more, regardless of which room they are in; providing unprecedented convergence between television, entertainment, and multi-zone connected home control.”

The internals of the Philips 4k UHD Android TV are just that good as well, featuring HDR 10 along with Bright Pro, which is a backlight boost that will automatically brighten the display up by ten percent compared to your standard LED display.

While the 5704 series is currently available in select retailers and stores like Sams Club and Costco’s, the 5904 series will come equipped with an integrated far-field mic solution that will allow you to simply say “Hey Google” to activate your personal assistant to ask questions, control other smart home devices and even add products to your Google Express cart from anywhere. If you’re curious about connectivity options, the Phillips 4K UHD tv will include: include HDMI, antenna RF, Wireless 802.11ac dual-band MIMO, Ethernet and USB multimedia, and audio options include digital optical and Bluetooth 4.2 for optional headphone, keyboard or other accessory connectivity. Philips 4K UHD Android TV series will be available in 43, 50, 55, 65, and 75-inch displays starting at $349.99.
