Ring is popular for their video doorbells and home security systems, but for those of us who live in homes without doorbells, you may have felt a bit left out. That’s no longer the case, thanks to the new Ring Door View Cam.
The Ring Door View Cam is a video doorbell that essentially becomes the peephole camera that you’ve always wanted. The wire-free video doorbell allows you to transform your peephole into its own smart security device by adjusting it on top of your home’s peephole — without drilling or any permanent modifications.
Installation is as simple as possible; you remove the existing peephole and then install the Ring Door View Cam in its place on each side of your door; next, you pop in the rechargeable battery and then removable face-plate and voila — the Ring Door View Cam will feature motion detection, two-way talk, 1080p HD Video, door activity detection, and night vision.
Jamie Siminoff, Ring’s founder and Chief Inventor, said:
As we continue on our mission of reducing crime in neighborhoods, we want everyone with a front door to have the ability to protect their property and prevent crime from taking place. We’ve heard from countless customers over the years who want to secure their front door with a Ring Doorbell but are not able to install one of our existing doorbells. With the addition of Door View Cam, we are unlocking peace of mind for every customer.
Available later this year for $199, the Ring Door View Cam will be available directly at Ring.
