The Lowdown

We were really impressed during our testing of the Jabra Evolve2 75. Even after wearing the headphones for an extended period, they were super comfortable, which is impressive for on-ear headphones; the dual foam earcups must have done the trick. Their sound quality is excellent when streaming music via Bluetooth and taking phone calls. Background noise was almost totally eliminated, which is perfect for a hybrid working solution. These headphones look great and feel even better. They are also very well-made, which is no surprise with Jabra’s pedigree.

The Evolve2 75 is perfect for dialing into work from home or taking calls from the train. starting at $349, it’s a great option no matter your working situation.

Jabra Evolve2 75

The Jabra Evolve2 75 is a sleek set of headphones that look great whether you’re listening to a podcast on the way to work or taking a call once you sit down at your desk with the flip-down microphone arm. The earcup is ergonomically designed using dual-foam technology underneath a leatherette covering with a new pattern for improved ventilation that is super comfortable for an on-ear headset. It even comes with a nice felt zippered carrying case!

Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) is something Jabra has gotten really good at, and it shows in the Evolve2 75. Using the Jabra Sound+ app, you can select your level of noise cancellation and let the headphones help you protect your focus.

Jabra engineered these headphones with eight strategically-placed microphones as well as their advanced beamforming technology to ensure the person on the other end of your call hears you and only you, not your noisy office or your loud kids at home. The microphone boom arm is 33% shorter than the Evolve 75, as well.

The Jabra Evolve2 75 storage bag

The Jabra Evolve2 75 is available in Microsoft Teams-certified variants as well as a UC variant which is certified for Google Meet and Zoom as well. There are plenty of options to offer a seamless collaboration experience.

Doing good work isn’t just about collaboration software, though, it’s also about knowing protecting your focus, and the Jabra Evolve2 75 does a great job of that. Not just by blocking out background noise, it also helps prevent interruptions before they happen with the busylight. The busylights are two red LEDs that turn on when you’re on a call, allowing your coworkers (or family if you’re working at home) to instantly see that you’re on a call and shouldn’t be disturbed.

The boom on the Jabra Evolve2 75

Flexibility is essential as well, and the Jabra Evolve2 75 allows you to connect from both your PC (via USB dongle) and smartphone via Bluetooth. The USB dongle will enable you to stray about 30-meters from your PC so you can grab a coffee while on your call, or if you switch to your smartphone, you can take your call wherever you are.

Sound quality is equally essential in headphones, and Jabra designed the Evolve2 75 with 40mm leak-tolerant speakers that offer clear, crisp audio for both phone calls and music. Another great feature is Jabra’s HearThrough technology that allows you to hear your music or phone call but also lets some sound in from the world around you.

HearThrough is perfect if you’re walking through the streets of NYC and want to be able to hear if someone calls you or you want to listen to the subway platform announcements.

Jabra Evolve2 75 ear cups

Battery life is vital for Bluetooth headphones, especially when you’re using them all day during your commute and at work. The Jabra Evolve2 75 was designed to deliver up to 25 hours of talk time or 36 hours of music on a single charge with ANC off.

With ANC on, the Jabra Evolve2 75 headphones work harder to block out the noise, so you’ll get about 18 hours of talk time and 33 hours of music streaming. However, have no fear as Jabra’s fast charge feature delivers 4 hours of battery life in just fifteen minutes of charging.

Speaking of charging, Jabra has a really nice optional charging stand available for the Evolve2 75 that uses two charging conductors on the left ear cup. You can just set down your headphones in between calls to charge automatically. It’s an excellent way to charge the headphones without finding the USB-C cable, plug it in, etc.

The headphones are available in Black or Golden Beige with either USB Type-A or USB Type-C charging; if you order them in Black, you have the option of adding their $50 charging stand to your order for a total of $399.

Charging base for the Jabra Evolve2 75

On the Jabra Evolve2 75’s left earcup, you’ve got the power switch that starts the Bluetooth connection search when pushed down all the way for a few seconds. You’ve also got the HearThrough/ANC button that toggles between, you guessed it, HearThrough and ANC modes.

Finally, you also have the USB-C port for charging manually. On the right earcup, you’ve got three buttons on the side that controls the volume, up and down, and the middle button is for play/pause. The button on the outside face of the earcup is to answer or end calls or open a Microsoft Teams notification. Also on the right earcup is the microphone boom that mutes or unmutes the microphone when extended or put away.
