As a long-time guitar player, Fender guitars bring back so many memories from different times of my life. I spent much of my youth trying to obtain a Fender guitar, and I’m still obsessing about them as an older man! Another great memory from my childhood is playing with Hot Wheels cars, so the idea of a Fender Custom Shop Hot Wheels Guitar Collection sounds pretty epic!
The Fender Custom Shop Hot Wheels Guitar Collection was created by a team of eleven master builders and five apprentice builders. It consists of 16 one-of-a-kind, bespoke designs inspired by the #1 selling toy in the world, Mattel’s Hot Wheels diecast toy cars. These guitars are designed with careful attention to detail using the colors and graphics that made Hot Wheels so iconic.
Each guitar in the new collection features unique designs, graphics, and true Hot Wheels color shades. Each also comes with a Hot Wheels strap, pick set, and a custom Hot Wheels Hardshell case that comes in Hot Wheel’s signature orange and blue.
Notably, the Hot Wheels diecast model that each model was inspired by will be included, along with a certificate of authenticity.
Hot Wheels rides have been just as much part of our team’s childhood as classic guitars, so getting the opportunity to create one-of-a-kind instruments inspired by some of our favorite cars has been a dream.
Each builder brought their own unique take to the design process, which was influenced by the years of childhood nostalgia and the iconic orange track. The final results are works of art that pay tribute to both Fender and Hot Wheels. Dennis Galuszka, Fender Custom Shop Master Builder
