Cons
We are often on the go and need to keep drinks and food cold. Instead of using bags of ice and making a watery mess, why not use a 12v cooler like the AAOBOSI Portable Car Fridge; it is a dual zone 45-quart cooler that is packed with features.
The AAOBOSI Portable Car Fridge has two compartments; each zone temperature can be independently controlled from -4°F to 68°F. You can cool, chill, or freeze in one or both compartments.
The cooler comes with everything you need, and while it does require a small amount of assembly, the screwdriver needed is even included in the package. An AC plug and car plug are included, so this is ready to run as soon as you install the wheels and handle.
The handle extends and retracts for easy transport. Installation is simple: lining up the handle and fastening it with four screws. The triggers on the side lock and unlock the sliding mechanism.
The AAOBOSI Portable Car Fridge’s wheels are rubberized and ready for any terrain. They install with a screw and make moving the cooler simple. They are well-made and should last for many years.
The combination of the wheels and retractable handle is a game-changer when the cooler is packed full and heavy.
AAOBOSI has added several extra features making this cooler stand out. Under the larger lid is a cutting board perfect for outdoor cooking or, in my case, slicing limes while sitting by the pool. There is also a bottle opener on the side. When the doors open, there is also an LED light to help illuminate your items once the sun goes down.
The AAOBOSI Portable Car Fridge’s temperature controls can be adjusted and observed from the display screen or from the mobile app.
The display screen is easy to read and set; an arrow points to which zone is set, displaying current temperatures, and I was surprised by how fast it cools.
I recommend that you plan ahead, cool your drinks or food beforehand, and cool the device before filling it. It uses very little power once it is cooled and the lid stays closed.
The mobile app connects via Bluetooth and is a great extension of the onboard display. The temperatures are nicely displayed and can be adjusted with a touch of a button. If the attached battery is low, the readings will reflect that, and the cooler will shut down.
We tested the AAOBOSI Portable Car Fridge out while having friends over for a cookout. We filled it with various drinks and left it plugged in, restocking often. The drinks were cold, and the limes were easy to slice on the included cutting board; it was a hit with our guests.

You can keep frozen items on one side and cold items on the other, or you can set both zones to be frozen or cold. The mobile app helps manage the temps from a distance and connects nicely.
The cooler’s wheels are rugged and easily travel over rough terrain, and the extension handle makes the cooler easy to move around. I love the extra features, including the cutting board, bottle opener, and lights; they put this product over the top, especially for camping and entertaining.
The AAOBOSI Portable Car Fridge retails for $379.99; it is available on Amazon.
