The best desk chairs have a few key features. They are well-built and sturdy, but they are not too heavy. They have a breathable seat and backrest. They offer enough neck and lumbar support for long work sessions. And they have enough adjustments but aren’t overly complex. The Sihoo Doro-C300 Ergonomic Office Chair ticks all those boxes.
The Sihoo Doro-C300 Ergonomic Office Chair comes in a large box weighing 66 pounds. Assembly took a bit of time, but the included instruction manual walked me through the process.
The first step was to attach the wheels to the chair’s base.
The vertical post went in next; then, I had to attach the adjustment mechanism to the chair’s base.
Once the adjustment mechanism was firmly attached, the chair’s base was set on top of the vertical post, and the back of the chair was attached to the base.
After that, the various pieces of the arms needed to be put together, and each arm was attached to the back of the chair.
I didn’t pay enough attention during this step and put the wrong arm on each side. Removing them and attaching them properly only took ten minutes, but I still feel dumb I made such a silly mistake.
Finally, the neck support needed to get screwed into place, and the name badge was attached to cover the exposed screws on the back.
As previously noted, the process took some time but wasn’t difficult.
The resulting chair offers several features that make it incredibly comfortable.
While I was quite fond of my previous office chair, the Sihoo Doro-C300 Ergonomic Office Chair’s seat is wider, and I’m finding the additional width adds to my comfort when working at my desk for an extended period.
The mesh seat and back offer enough give to provide plenty of support without creating too much pressure in any spot. Add in the material’s breathability, and you will quickly appreciate the decision to use this material.
That is especially true on warm summer days. The subtle, downward slope of the seat’s front further eliminates the possibility of discomfort while sitting for extended periods.
After using this chair for a few days, I switched back to my old chair for a day and quickly came to appreciate both the shape and the support the seat’s design and materials provide.
The comfort doesn’t stop there.
One of the places where desk chairs often fail me is the lack of lumbar support. More than that, however, I’ve found that many chairs that claim to offer lumbar support don’t provide the comfort and support I need.
Fortunately, the Sihoo Doro-C300 has lumbar support covered with a mechanism that automatically adjusts to your movements.
The company explains,
The BM (Body Movement) Tracking System ensures that the lumbar support automatically conforms to your spine, providing comfort and support for your back during different postures without requiring manual adjustment.
But there’s more.
The chair’s flexible backrest offers exceptional support. It has a triangular frame that flexes and matches the movement of your back so your back remains supported when you move, even if you lean over to pick up something you dropped.
It isn’t easy to describe how this works in words, but you’ll be amazed when you sit in the chair.
Even the armrests are designed for maximum comfort and support. They are nicely padded, adjusting up and down and back and forth, and pivoting up to 75 degrees.
That way, no matter your position, your arms will be in the most comfortable position possible. And if that wasn’t enough, they automatically adjust when you recline, so you even get support when you take a break.
Finally, there’s the neck support. I don’t know about you, but my neck tends to get rather sore after working on the computer for a few hours. The Sihoo Doro-C300’s headrest adjusts up and down and back and forth for maximum comfort. It even offers a degree of rotation to help keep neck fatigue to a minimum.
The chassis that adapts to you: Leveraging weight-sensing and mechanical conduction technologies, Sihoo Doro-C300’s chassis responds to your weight and movements, allowing you to sit and recline comfortably, effortlessly, and in balance.
When you put all this together, you get a chair designed for people who spend copious amounts of time in their chairs and need as much comfort and support as possible.
Finally, after working for a few hours, everyone needs a break.
Rather than finding a comfortable place to chill, with this chair, you can use the adjustment controls conveniently located beneath the right part of the seat and tilt the chair back to a comfortable reclining position.
Even then, the chair’s dynamic lumbar support adjusts for the sake of your lower back.
Overall, the Door C300 is designed for maximum comfort and adjustability and delivers. As Sihoo explains,
The design of Doro C300 is tied to the passionate pursuit of a dynamic lumbar and back support system that could offer long hours of sedentary care for a healthier posture.
