Husqvarna, the brand that helped popularize automated lawnmowers, is back with a standout update to its Automower line—featuring smarter, wire-free mowing with EPOS technology. The Husqvarna Automower iQ Series features Exact Positioning Operating System (EPOS) technology for boundary wire-free operation, which is a game changer for homeowners looking for a more streamlined setup  Depending on the model, iQ Series robotic lawnmowers can handle slopes ranging from 25% to 50% at the boundary and 50% to 70% within the mowing area  Prices start at $2,999.99.

The Husqvarna Automower iQ Series builds on the brand’s history of innovation to further improve upon the Automower design, making the robotic lawnmowers perfect for almost any yard.

The Automower iQ Series introduces EPOS (Exact Positioning Operating System) technology, which eliminates the need for boundary wires by using satellite data and an on-property reference station. This game-changing system saves homeowners the cost of professional installation and makes setup easier and faster—ideal for DIYers looking to streamline their lawn care.

EPOS works by combining satellite signals with a reference station you place in your yard, allowing the mower to track its exact position with centimeter-level precision. This ensures it stays on course and avoids obstacles like flower beds and landscaping borders.

EPOS isn’t the only feature, though. The Automower iQ Series allows you to customize your cut from 1″ to 4″ high, and you can even choose what type of pattern you’d like your mower to mow in. You can select from a variety of mowing patterns—irregular, parallel, checkerboard, or triangular—depending on your aesthetic preference. The iQ Series can even transition over sidewalks and driveways if there’s a level pathway.

  1. This would free up time to do other landscaping while the automower takes care of the rest!

I currently use a Honda gas-powered lawnmower. It is big, heavy, and feels even heavier when mowing slightly damp grass. I mowed the lawn last week, and it was such an unpleasant experience since the grass was slightly damp. I was left feeling very exhausted after mowing both my front yard and backyard. I could really use an automated lawnmower like the Husqvarna Automower. The Automower 410 iQ model would be perfect for the size of my yard. I just wish the mower was more affordable. At almost $3,000.00, the mower is too expensive right now. Hopefully more lawnmower manufacturers will make automated mowers so that prices for automated mowers can come down.
