Cons

Having the ability to monitor the outside of your home has become an important technology. Having the ability to monitor without the need for any cords or cables is relatively new, and it is done well with the Aosu SolarCam P1 Max. All of the features found in wired cameras are included and easy to use.

The Aosu SolarCam P1 Max is a 4K Ultra HD all-in-one, 100% wire-free security camera. The f/1.6 aperture and 6x digital zoom ensure high-quality monitoring, both during the day and at night. The package comes with mounting hardware, instructions, and a USB-C charging cable. I chose a spot that gets sun to recharge and had it installed in under five minutes.

The P1 Max camera quickly connects to the Aosu mobile app and begins working instantly. The quality of the live video is impressive. Essential details that may be needed to monitor your home correctly are crisp and clear. A security light that can be turned on and off via the app is also included.

The camera features a large, integrated solar panel on top, which allows it to run continuously with just two hours of sunlight per day. Under the waterproof cover, there is also an option to charge via USB-C, if needed. It is also recommended to charge the device fully before installation.

Power and reset buttons on the Aosu SolarCam P1 Max

The power and reset buttons, charging port, and MicroSD card slot are included under the camera and are protected via a waterproof cover. Recording options for the P1 Max include using a MicroSD card, which records over itself when full, and several subscription options for cloud storage.

It is crucial not only to find a location for installing the Aosu SolarCam P1 Max that covers the area you want to monitor, but also to ensure sufficient sunlight to keep the camera charged.

My location is partially under an eave, and I used it daily for over a week, including through rain and a few cloudy days, without any issues with power level. The solar panel does a great job of maximizing power.

The Aosu SolarCam P1 Max features AI-powered recognition that identifies people, pets, and vehicles, alerting your phone via push notification when activity occurs or if someone is loitering in the area. Fences and walls are automatically detected and notify of any activity around them. The light and alarm system can be set to help keep unwanted intruders from entering your property. All of this is customizable in the settings.

Voice alerts on the Aosu SolarCam P1 Max

For ease of use, several phrases are included to announce from the Aosu SolarCam P1 Max camera. You can ask to leave a package at the door, or ask why they are there, and tell them to leave—all with a tap of a button on the app.

On the app, the light can be turned on and off, and a voice changer can be set to disguise the speaker’s identity on the app. I enjoy opening the camera in the morning and listening to the birds and the peaceful sounds of my back porch.

These are great! I had some issues setting up home cameras in the past but this would have helped out with several placement problems I originally had.
