ECOVACS, most known for their robot vacuums, has announced a new line of robotic lawn mowers, the ECOVACS GOAT A3000 and ECOVACS A2000 LiDAR PRO series. Featuring a ton of core advancements like ECOVACS’ proprietary HoloScope 360 system for true 3D lawn mapping and its first built-in TruEdge Trimmer that reduces the gap between autonomous hands-free mowing and a professionally maintained lawn.

Starting at $1,999 for the GOAT A2000 and $2,499 for the GOAT A3000, they aren’t priced as budget models but rather fully featured lawncare machines ready to keep your lawn looking nice this Spring. Both models feature a 32V platform with dual gap-free blade-discs for a 3X faster and more consistent mowing across a range of yard conditions.
The A3000 LiDAR PRO is intended for larger, more complex yards up to 3/4 of an acre, while the A2000 LiDAR PRO is designed for lawns up to 1/2 an acre. Both feature up to 50% slope climbing ability while maintaining strong cutting performance even when the grass is overgrown.

The most impressive feature to me, however, is the automated TruEdge Trimmer. Featuring AI enhancements that transform the typical two-step process of robotic mowing and manual edging, the TruEdge Trimmer lets the mower do all the work, reducing human intervention so you can enjoy your weekend a little more.
The TruEdge Trimmer utilizes high-speed rotating flexible strings to cut the edge of the lawn; the AI camera intelligently distinguishes between grass and non-grass areas, allowing the robot to locate physical boundaries and extend/retract to trim along curves, flower beds, fences, and other areas for a clean lawn edge.

The GOAT LiDAR PRO series uses the HoloScope 360 Dual-LiDAR Triple-Technology Navigation System to laser-scan your lawn and create a 3D map, no matter the conditions, landscape, etc. It simplifies setup to under a minute, with no external antennas or complex assembly required. ECOVACs brags that the GOAT LiDAR PRO is accurate to within 2 centimeters during mowing, even at night.

You can learn more about and order your ECOVACS GOAT robotic lawnmower directly from the manufacturer or at Amazon, starting today!
I can’t wait to try out the ECOVACS GOAT LiDAR PRO, and as fate would have it, ECOVACS is sending me one soon — despite the foot of snow on the ground here in New Jersey. I’m excited to test it out once the tundra thaws, when we can finally see our grass again in the Spring.
Stay tuned for our full review!
Nice to see another option, especially with a trimmer. If they can get the price down to what vacs/mops are, I don’t know anyone who wouldn’t go for this.
I like how the review explained real-world performance and battery life. It helps me see whether this mower could actually replace my old push mower.
I’m very curious about these. If it works as well as advertised, it would be great
It’s interesting that a robot lawnmower uses lidar, but Tesla doesn’t put it in their cars to reduce costs.
I am truly fascinated that the laser tech is so precise it can mow at night!
