INIU Cougar P63 Power Bank Review: A Powerful and Handy Little Charger

The Lowdown

There are hundreds of different power banks out there. That said, the INIU Cougar P63 power bank is outstanding and definitely worth your consideration. It is compact, has a built-in cable, has high-power ports, and can charge pretty much any device you throw at it.

Overall
4.8

Pros

  • 100W Output with a 25,000 mAh Capacity
  • Can easily charge anything from a laptop on down
  • Multiple full phone charges
  • Fast-charging

Cons

  • The braided sheath on the included charging cable started fraying (it still works, though)

I’ve used a lot of portable chargers, some great, some good, and some pretty terrible. One consistent problem, though, is that many older chargers I’ve accumulated don’t have the capacity and output power that phones and tablets now require for fast charging. One of the cool things about the INIU Cougar P63 power bank is that it has multiple USB-C and USB-A outputs and can deliver the higher wattage that newer devices crave.

The layout and design are very intuitive and easy to understand.

The INIU Cougar P63 power bank has a neat little trick. The lanyard loop attached to the charger is also hiding a small USB-C cable! At first glance, it just looks like a regular loop, but check this out! It goes from this:

It’s a pretty neat little engineering feature that is actually pretty snug and holds on pretty well. The one tiny con I have is that the braided sheath around the cable started to fray a bit after some pretty solid use during a Disneyland trip. The cable still works fine, so I may throw some glue on it to keep it from fraying further.

The INIU Cougar P63 power bank weighs 13.8 ounces and measures 4.3 long by 2.7″ wide by 1.4″ thick. It’s small enough to easily fit in a large pocket, purse, or backpack.

You can charge multiple devices at once, and one of the best features is the 100W Max output port, which lets me power a laptop. I often work on a laptop without a convenient plug nearby, and this power bank makes it so much easier to keep working without having to find a power cable and plug. That assumes that your laptop has a USB-C power port, but most laptops nowadays have that.

If you want a small, powerful power bank that can power a laptop and fast-charge the latest phones out now, you can’t go wrong with the INIU Cougar P63 power bank. I highly recommend this power bank. We took a trip to Washington, DC, recently, and it kept both my phone and my wife’s Pixel phones up and running all day long.

The INIU Cougar P63 Power Bank retails for $75 (currently on sale for 66.99); it is available directly from the manufacturer or Amazon.
