Electric scooters are just plain fun. There’s something about zipping around on a motorized scooter that makes you feel like a kid again. The funny part about that is, normally you wouldn’t stick a kid on an e-scooter…unless they’re part of the new Segway line of kid-friendly e-scooters! After all, start them young, and they’ll be zipping the streets of Brooklyn on Segways well into their 20s!

Segway S2
If you have a pint-sized speed demon, the Segway Ninebot S2 Kids self-balancing scooter looks like a blast! It offers up to 8 miles of range per charge, maxes out at 8.7 miles per hour, and supports riders up to 135 pounds. All that is reassuring for parents, while kids will love the RGB lighting, an LED dashboard, and Bluetooth speakers.
This scooter clocks in at 23.8 pounds, so while it’s not the lightest, carrying the scooter and having it for when kiddo gets tired on a walk can make it worthwhile.
All this comes at a price, though- an MSRP of $449.99, but you can save $100 for a limited time on the pre-order.

If you want to introduce your kids to a more traditional e-scooter approach, the C2 Go and C2 SE might fit the bill. They’re aimed at kids 6-1o years old, with a max weight of 110 pounds. Like the S2 Kids, it sports RGB lighting, so you can look like an extra from Tron: Kids. And with a weight of 17 pounds, a quick-fold design, and a range of up to 8.5 miles, there’s plenty of opportunity for adventure. When they remake Stranger Things in 30 years, the kids will be riding these instead of bikes!

The Segway C2 SE is exclusive to Sam’s Club (online and in-store) and adds a few extras to the base C2 design. It will sport a 3-level adjustable handlebar, LED dashboard, and squeeze brakes. It also supports slightly more weight, up to 120 pounds.
