While at CES 2010 we spent a good deal of time hanging out in one of our favorite accessory manufacturers’ booth, Speck. Okay truth be told they had free beer, but we would have been there regardless, that’s how much we like the stuff Speck has to offer.
One of their first cases for the iPhone, the Fitted Case, started out with only two designs but has since been blown out with all new styles.
We had the chance to preview some of the new designs and Speck was kind enough to send us home with some samples to review as well.
The Fitted Case is a durable, lightweight snap-together case. It features soft fabric which provides extra comfort and grip in your hand. Its custom-fit, contours and openings allow access to all ports, sensors and controls.
The inside of the case is lined with a soft-touch material which protects the back of your iPhone.
The first new offerings in the Fitted line come courtesy of a collaboration Speck has started with the Artsprojekt Global Creative Network. Their first offerings, which are available now, included three authorized reproductions of continuous-tone original artwork, each available in an extremely limited edition of 250.
Love After Death by Andy Howell.
Each case comes with a collector’s card which gives a brief overview of the artist and where the piece he/she choose for the case originated.
Disease #2 by Noumeda Carbone
Cutie Pie by The Cute Institute.
We also had the chance to get a sneak preview of four of the new Artsprojekt designs (3 seen below) which should be released by Speck soon.
In addition to the Artsprojekt designs Speck is also adding several new designs to their regular fitted line.
We brought back a few of the new designs.
And this special, limited edition CES 2010 which is my personal favorite.
Admittedly I was not a huge fan of the first run of Fitted cases. But that opinion has quickly changed. Simply put, I love these cases! The old version I tried didn’t fit well. The new ones fit perfectly. Snug and secure. The fabric back feels great in the hand and the case feels slim enough that it’s not a burden to carry, even in your pants pocket. I really like the new designs, especially the Artsprojekt ones.
The limited edition Artsprojekt cases sell for $39.95 and can be ordered from Speck’s partner Zazzle, here.
The regular Fitted cases, which sell for $29.95, can be ordered directly from Speck here, look for the new designs soon.

What I like – unique designs, great fit, fabric back feels good in hand.
What I don’t like – nothing.
I am loving the new style and fit of these cases. Used one of them last week in Mexico. Great protection and style!
