Last night I posted a piece entitled A Tale of Three iPad Cases. It addressed my great experience with Owl Studios and Sena Cases and my less than great interactions with a third company.
This morning I received an email from Tom at Aligata iPad cases. Tom told me about his all leather cases that are made from “… genuine bovine leather, natural grain. Very classy and durable as hell.”
They look good and are currently on sale for $59.90 at http://aligata.com/
Tom went on to explain his pre-order policy. Turns out he too charges in full for his cases due to a limitation with his e-commerce company. He was sure to point out however that he is quick to personally confirm orders, gives an ETA and signs his name to all correspondence. As he explained…
I charge the full price at pre-order (well, only Black Espresso is pre-ordered now, other cases are in stock), because my e-commerce hosting company (BigCommerce.com) does not give me the chance to charge partially.
But I contact my Customers immediately, provide accurate EDTs and sign my letters with my name (well, this is easy – I am the only one at Aligata to do Customer service ;)).
We’ll be getting one of the cases in a little over a week, and we look forward to sharing our thoughts with you then. In the meantime you can check out Aligata iPad cases.
