We’ve reviewed a host of different Bluetooth speakers but never one quite like this. The Scosche boomBOTTLE is a new mobile speaker that is ideal for streaming music while biking, hiking, camping and more. The boomBOTTLE not only has a unique design, but it has the features to match. A durable non-slip, shock absorbing TPU exterior is strong enough to withstand drops or vibrations caused from rough terrain, which makes it perfect for biking. An IP4X rated weatherproof construction means you can use the boomBOTTLE even when it is wet outside. The boomBOTTLE even features sealed dustproof speaker grills.
The sound on the boomBOTTLE comes from dual 40mm drivers with each speaker featuring an omnidirectional diffuser that channels music in all directions; this creates 360 degrees of sound. In addition, the boomBOTTLE’s has a large passive subwoofer for massive bass.
Since the boomBOTTLE is meant to be used on the go, it needs to be easy to use. Large rubberized buttons make that possible so you can easily skip tracks and adjust volume on the fly. A top flap opens to reveal the protected charging and audio ports.
The boomBOTTLE has a built-in rechargeable lithium-ion battery so you can expect up to 10 hours of continuous playback. It even comes with on a single charge. A metal carabineer clip is even included for attaching boomBOTTLE to your gear while on the go.
The grey boomBOTTLE is already available at Scosche.com for $149.99, and it will be making its debut at Walmart shortly. Green, yellow, pink and blue boomBOTTLEs will be available on Scosche.com in May. We have a review unit on the way, and we will share our impressions soon.
