Nintendo Sets Mario Kart 8 DLC Packs for Advance Purchase

Players can now get two new Mario Kart 8 downloadable content packs for advance purchase at $7.99 each (or $11.99 for both). These DLC Packs offer a sizable chunk of content with the The Legend of Zelda X Mario Kart 8 (November) and Animal Crossing X Mario Kart 8 (May 2015).

These packs feature first-time crossover characters including Link from The Legend of Zelda franchise and Isabelle and the Villager from the Animal Crossing series. Broadband Internet connection needed. Just click the new “Shop” icon in the game or visit the Nintendo eShop on Wii U.

Nintendo has also recently provided a key Mario Kart 8 update a variety of new features, including three free Mercedes-Benz cars that players can race: the modern Mercedes-Benz GLA, the 300 SL Roadster from the 1950s and the legendary Silver Arrow of the 1930s. Mario Kart 8 owners can currently participate in the Mario Kart 8 online worldwide “Mercedes Cup” tournament.
