Starbucks K-Cups Bring Great Coffee Home

When I moved into my new place there were only a few things I wanted other than my clothes and my tech. At the top of that list? My Keurig machine. I mean, what good is having a new apartment if you can’t have a great cup of coffee ready and waiting in seconds. Thankfully, as member of the Starbucks Blogger Program I was send a terrific variety of coffees. YUM!!

Each of these coffees is created with both taste and convenience in mind. As Starbucks explains, “Designed for use with the Keurig Single Cup Brewing System to provide a premium brewed coffee experience in less than a minute—without the mess.” So what did I get in my special Starbucks Blogger Community care package?

I got Starbucks Veranda Blend. This is a lighter blend that is gentler than other roasts but is still packed with flavor. As Starbucks explains,

Forty years of coffee-roasting expertise inspired us to perfect Starbucks Blonde Roast—a lighter, gentler take on the Starbucks Roast. Roasting this blend of specially chosen Latin American beans for a shorter time allows the delicate nuances of soft, cocoa and lightly toasted nuts to blossom. Flavorful without being overly bold, this coffee brews a delightfully gracious cup that’s perfect for welcoming friends or greeting a new day.

There’s the Starbucks House Blend Medium. This has a deeper and fuller flavor but still isn’t overpowering.

Finally there is Caffe Verona. The company describes it this way-

A passion for the culinary romance of Italy inspired this seductive, full-bodied blend of Latin American and Asia/Pacific coffees, with Italian Roast added for depth. It’s rich and well-balanced with a dark cocoa texture and a roasty sweetness.

Each of the coffees has a different flavor. Personally I’m more inclined toward the lighter roasts but there are times when something a bit heavier strikes my fancy. Add in the fact that having a number of different types of coffee avaiable for guests is simply one part of being a good host and you have a good reason to buy a few different varieties and try them all.

I also got a cool Starbucks mug which has quickly become my favorite. If you haven’t checked out all the great coffee gear Starbucks sells you should!

Personally I’m looking forward to checking out more varieties and feeding my #coffeepassion. Thanks to being included as part of the @Starbucks Coffee Blogger Community I think that just might happen. Stay tuned!!

I know my other half would be jealous of you being part of the special Starbucks blogger community. She is all about Starbucks. She is even a Gold member. I will say she loves all of the dark roasts, as well as their hot cocoa. I don’t think the cocoa comes in keurig form. Plus, our cabinets are full of Starbucks mugs. I’m looking forward to future posts – it will help give me ideas for gifts. 🙂
