The Olloclip is a 4-in-1 photo lens for the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus. It’s a lightweight clip-on camera lens, compatible with both the front and rear-facing cameras. The included lenses are fisheye, wide-angle, macro 10x, and macro 15x. The Ollocase protects your phone while providing a perfect fit for the Olloclip. The Olloclip and Ollocase together sell for $99.98.
The Olloclip couldn’t be easier to use, it’s a hard plastic clip with a lens on either side. On one side is the fisheye lens and on the other is the wide-angle lens. Unscrew the fisheye lens and you’ve got the macro 15x lens; unscrew the wide-angle lens and you’ve got the macro 10x lens. Pretty quick and easy to use!
The Olloclip comes with the lenses themselves, two plastic lens caps, a microfiber carrying case, three colored Olloclip pendants, and a lanyard perfect for wearing around your neck. The Olloclip also comes with two inserts, one for the iPhone 6 and one for the iPhone 6 Plus that allow you to use the Olloclip on your phone without the Ollocase if required.
The Ollocase has a hard plastic back but has rubberized sides, top, and bottom to help you keep a grip on your phone. The lightning port, speaker, headphone jack, and mute switch are all left exposed while the volume buttons and power buttons are covered in rubberized silicone. The top of the case is notched to allow the Olloclip to fit perfectly over your front and rear cameras.
Once clipped onto the top of your phone, the Olloclip is completely secure with no worries about detachment. Since the iPhone 6 Plus is larger than the iPhone 6, you have to slide the Olloclip one way or the other in order to use the lens on the rear-facing camera or the front-facing camera. It’s not a big deal, but is slightly less convenient.
The photos the Olloclip takes are phenomenal. I never thought I wanted to use a fisheye lens so badly until I was having so much fun taking funky pictures of my daughter in my backyard. You can see a few of those pictures, below:
The macro pictures are mind-boggling. I took some close up photos of a hibiscus flower in my front yard and they turned out fantastic, check them out below:
Truthfully, I never thought I could get such great pictures out of my iPhone. The Olloclip is not only a great iPhone photo lens, it’s also portable, convenient, and stylish to boot.
My biggest complaint about the Olloclip is that it is not compatible with screen protectors. I have a nice glass screen protector on my phone that got slightly chipped at the top where the Olloclip slips on and off the phone. It’s not a huge issue, but something you should be aware of when buying the Olloclip.
The Olloclip is highly recommended if you are an avid iPhone photographer who wants to do really neat stuff that you can’t do with software alone. It comes in black with silver lenses, white with gold lenses, black with red lenses, black with space grey lenses, and white with silver lenses.
You can purchase the Olloclip and Ollocase directly from the manufacturer at their website.

What I Like: Excellent design; 4 lenses in 1; Portable; Takes beautiful photos; Works with or without Ollocase.
What Needs Improvement: Could be more compatible with screen protectors.
There are other smartphone lens kits, and the two others I own (Photojojo and Mpow) are in my opinion superior, because they fit on any smartphone regardless of size or brand. To me the olloclip design is seriously flawed (or is it just that the creator wants you to buy his phone case as well). Photojojo lenses are just as good as the olloclip and with the addition of a (free) mounting ring I can use them on my iphone6 (after having used them on my iphone5 – the olloclip I had for my iphone5 is garbage). The olloclip is no game changer, and it is seriously overpriced.
