Divoom Ditoo Is the Cute Retro Game Clock and Speaker That You Didn’t Know You Wanted

Whether you’re a retro gamer or just a lover of all things quirky and cute, you are going to want to check out the Divoom Ditoo. The Ditoo is a cute little clock that also functions as a retro gaming device and speaker.

At the Global Sources Mobile Electronics Show in Hong Kong, I had a chance to see the Divoom Ditoo in person. Who knew such a cute little bedside clock could have so many functions and so much character? The Divoom Ditoo has retro construction that makes you think of the old CRT monitor and clacky keyboards many of us got our start on. And while the “professionally tuned” speaker will be great for listening to your favorite meditation music as you drift into sleep, the feature that makes Ditoo a star is its cute little 16 x 16 pixelated screen.

With the Divoom Smart app paired to your Ditoo, you’ll have access to

• Multiple pixel art & animation creation tools
• Scrolling text editor with customizable background
• Picture/GIF pixelation conversion
• Story design and share
• More features available through software updates

The Ditoo can act as a notification center for social media when on your desk. You can play mini retro games on it including Tetris, Magic 8 Ball, Dice, and Snake. Ditoo is linked to local weather, so it can give you the forecast. You can use Ditoo as a voice recorder for up to 60 minutes of voice notes. You can even use it to produce and play your own musical creations. It may not have Google Assistant or Amazon Alexa, but the Divoom Ditoo is still plenty smart.

If you are interested in other quirky pixel-based retro-style products, Divoom has an assortment for you to check out.

Disclosure: I was recently in Hong Kong for the Global Sources Mobile Electronics Show as their guest; they paid for my travel, room, and some meals, but there were no conditions or expectations made regarding what I chose to write about regarding my experience.
