Another IFA is in the books, and the following are the products we thought demanded special attention; one or more of them might just make your life healthier, easier, more productive, or more fun! After scouring the announcements and choosing the products for our Best of IFA 2022 list, all I have to say is, “what a time to be alive!”
LG OLED Flex (model LX3) aka The World’s First Bendable 42″ OLED TV
Do you prefer a flatscreen when watching TV and an immersive curved display when gaming? Do you only have space for one 42″ display? If that’s the case, look no further than the LG OLED Flex (model LX3).
It’s no exaggeration to say that the LX3’s bendable display can go from completely flat to beautifully curved (900R), with twenty levels of curvature along the way for you to choose from. It’s something that has to be seen to be believed, but wow!

Y-Brush (3rd Gen)
Do you have trouble ensuring that your kids brush their teeth twice daily for the recommended two minutes? What if they could get it done in just ten seconds? That’s what the French-made Y-Brush promises, and we are here for it!
Co-developed with dentists, the Y-Brush uses sonic vibrations and NylonMed technology to gently and effectively remove plaque in a nonaggressive manner that is gentle on the user’s gums.

TECNO MEGABOOK T1
The TECNO brand may not be well known in the US, but they are an international smartphone and IoT brand that happens to be the number one smartphone brand in Africa.
For IFA 2022, TECNO has released its first laptop, the 15.6″ TECNO MEGABOOK T1. With it, they are targeting GenZ users who are entering the workplace and need a powerful yet budget-friendly laptop.
At 14.8mm and just 1.48 kg, the ultra-thin and lightweight MEGABOOK T1 comes with up to an Intel Core i7 processor, up to 16GB RAM, up to a 1TB SSD, a long-lasting battery (it can last for up to 17.5 hours), and GaN fast charging.
We don’t have price info yet, but TECNO is promising that the MEGABOOK T1 will be cost-efficient, with availability starting in the third quarter of this year.
EcoFlow DELTA 2
One of the most impressive features of the EcoFlow DELTA 2 is its ability to be recharged 80% in just 50 minutes, using X-Stream technology that charges seven times faster than the industry average.
The EcoFlow DELTA 2 comes with a 1024Wh battery capacity, but it is also expandable using many of EcoFlow’s products. The DELTA 2 can be combined with a DELTA 2 Extra Battery or a DELTA Max Extra Battery to provide 2048Wh to 3040Wh of energy; this is a game-changer for anyone already vested in the EcoFlow system. This power station will also be usable with the EcoFlow Wave portable air conditioner (our full review is coming soon).
This power station will be compatible with solar and the Smart Generator, so finding power in any situation will be possible.
The EcoFlow DELTA 2 starts at $999.
HONOR 70
At just £479 in the UK (roughly $570), the Honor 70 punches above its price with a striking design, premium build, sleek curves, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G processor, 66W wired charging, a 4,800mAh battery, and 8GB RAM with 128GB storage. The 6.7″ FHD+ OLED display has a 120Hz refresh rate and HDR 10+ support.
The Honor 70 looks promising, with the main camera being a 54-megapixel Sony IMX800, a 50-megapixel ultrawide sensor, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor; there’s also a 32-megapixel front-facing camera.
The Honor 70 is available now in Midnight Black, Emerald Green, and Crystal Silver.
ShiftCam SnapGrip Creator Kit
The ShiftCam SnapGrip is a portable, lightweight, compact magnetic grip, dock, and charger. The SnapGrip system includes a SnapGrip, SnapLight LED ring light, and the SnapPod tripod; all components attach together magnetically, and they can work together, individually, or in any combination.
Using a universal fit and magnetic mounting system, SnapGrip works with every smartphone, but it really shines on MagSafe-equipped iPhones. The design is simple — the SnapGrip has a wireless shutter button and doubles as a Qi wireless battery pack that can charge a mobile phone.
Using a pivot system that makes it simple to switch between landscape and portrait, the Snaplight eliminates harsh shadows and provides soft, even lighting. It can be pointed in the direction of the rear camera or flipped backward, and it offers four levels of brightness to choose from. The included SnapPod can be used as a tripod or video selfie stick.
The ShiftCam SnapGrip Creator Kit will sell for $179.96 but is currently available for preorder at $129.99.
Withings Body Comp
The Withings Body Comp is the first scale that can measure body fat, visceral fat (the fat hidden around the organs in your belly), vascular age (the pliability of your blood vessels), and nerve health (the function of the nerves in yourfeet) in one device.
Using embedded sensors that can monitor multiple biomarkers associated with general and chronic health risks, Body Comp offers complete home health body assessments, including:
- Full body composition (weight, muscle mass, fat mass, water %, bone mass, BMI, and for the first time, visceral fat)
- Cardiovascular assessment (Standing Heart Rate, VascularAge)
- Nerve health assessment (Nerve Health Score computed from Electrochemical SkinConductance)
The Body Comp isn’t just for managing your weight; it’s bringing cardiovascular and nerve health risk assessment directly into your home rather than requiring a visit to a doctor’s office for a professional evaluation.
One of the craziest things Body Comp can do is provide an assessment of your nerve activity via its Nerve Health Score; this is determined by monitoring the sweat glands in your feet.
