Vivint Smart Energy Brings Solar Production Data Their Smart Home App

Alternative energy sources have become more affordable and reliable and are also a passion of mine. With them, it is essential to be able to monitor energy input to regulate usage. Vivint has announced a new feature allowing their app users to view production data from their solar panels. This is a significant step forward in encouraging renewable energy sources and integrating solar energy into the Vivint Smart Energy and Smart Home experience.

Vivint Smart Energy solar panels

The in-app Vivint Smart Energy features include data on how much energy panels are generating, insights into how well energy production is working, potential savings over using the grid, and the environmental impact the system is having. This is an excellent way to take advantage of Vivint’s services while improving your home’s energy efficiency.

With the new features, Vivint customers will be about to view all of the information about their home’s systems in one place. If you’re an existing Vivint customer with an Enphase inverter with SolarEdge inverters that were installed by Freedom Forever, you’ll start seeing your solar data populate over the coming days.  Vivint has plans to expand to additional customers in the near future.
