Lenovo Legion means one thing: Gaming. And Legion has got plenty of goodies to keep gamers engaged in 2023, with both software and hardware upgrades sure to please even the most dedicated players.
There’s the new Lenovo LA AI chip, which powers Lenovo AI Engine+. This allows for machine learning through Lenovo Vantage, so the computer is always tuning the performance to your needs. It’s like the ultimate wingman, making sure everything is optimized for your best possible Freecell run.
The new AI chip is the first time a dedicated AI chip is on a gaming laptop, and it will be found on the Lenovo Legion Pro 7/7i and Legion Pro 5/5i. They’ll also sport Tobii Horizon for gearless head tracking, as well as Tobii Aware, preinstalled out of the box.

The Lenovo Legion Pro 7i
The Lenovo Legion Pro 7/7i is what you want if you want power and portability. Lenovo says these are the world’s most powerful AI-Tuned 16″ gaming laptops, and it seems like a reasonable claim even if we have no way of verifying it!
They do sport either the latest 13th Gen Intel Core processors OR AMD Ryzen 7000 series processors, as well as NVIDIA GeForce RTX Next-Gen series GPUs.
Legion laptops won’t bake your desk or your knees either, with Lenovo Legion ColdFront 5.0 with hybrid thermals and an extra wide Vapor Chamber to keep the cool vibes going. The CPUs are cooled with a liquid metal infusion to further keep things from getting too hot.
Display-wise, they sport a Lenovo PureSight Gaming Display with a 16:10 WQXGA 2560×1600 resolution. And you’ve got a Lenovo Legion TrueStrike Spectrum keyboard with per-key RGB customized lighting because is it really a gaming keyboard if it doesn’t light up?
The Legion Pro 7i with Intel will start at $1,999.99 and should be available in March 2023. The Legion Pro 7 with AMD will not be available in North America.
Lenovo Legion Pro 5/5i
If you’re looking for more of an all-around laptop, that’s where the Legion Pro 5/5i comes in!
Just like its big brother, the Pro 7, the 5/5i has either a 13th Gen Intel Core or AMD Ryzen 7000 Series processor, plus NVIDIA GeForce RTX Next-Gen GPU. It also sports a 16″ screen with a 16:10 WQXGA resolution,n as well as a Lenovo TrueStrike keyboard.
Add in an 8Whr battery with super rapid charge pro, and you’ll be set for work and play!
Look for Legion Pro 5i with Intel Core processor to start at $1,479.99 this April, while the Legion Pro 5 with AMD Ryzen will start at $1,459.99.
Lenovo Legion Tower 7i
Desktop lovers aren’t forgotten! Lenovo has the new Legion Tower 7i, so you can dazzle your friends and make your enemies turn as green as the RGB lights in the chassis.
It sports 13th Gen Intel Core processors and NVIDIA GeForce RTX GPUs, along with up to 64GB of 5600 Mhz DDR5 RAM, meaning you’ll have memory for days to really keep up with high-intensity games. Or chess, if that’s more your speed.
Whatever your game of choice is, it will fly on the Legion Tower 7i. You also won’t have to worry about the tower doubling as a space heater, as it sports a VRM heatsink, up to 6 ARGB fans, a 3D patterned airflow-amplifying front bezel, and an optional liquid cooling system.
All that power gets lit up with Legion 12-ARGB lighting effects that get shown off through a tempered glass panel. And with 6TB of storage, you can save up to 1,000 AAA games without needing to stream them.

Lenovo Legion Tower 5/5i
For more all-around computing needs that are slightly kinder to your budget, there’s the Lenovo Legion Tower 5/5i. It, too, will come with either a 13th Gen Intel Core processor or an AMD Ryzen 7000 series.
You can also pair them up with either NVIDIA GeForce RTX or AMD Radeon RX 7000 graphics, as well as up to 32GB 5600Mhz DDR5 RAM and 2x 1TB SSDs for plenty of power and storage. You can also admire the RGB lights through an optional toolless glass side panel and keep things cool with up to five ARGB lighting-equipped quiet fans.
All that power and style starts at $1,199.99 for the Intel version this April and $1,299.99 for the AMD Ryzen version this May.
