CITIZEN has a deservedly excellent reputation for making stylish and reliable wristwatches. They’re taking their eye for style and combining it with some seriously smart machine learning to make smartwatches that actually adapt to your needs. The second generation of CITIZEN CZ Smart watches will be powered by the YouQ application with the aim of improving your health and your daily routine!

CITIZEN CZ Smart Watch

When CITIZEN says they’re using AI, they’re not kidding around. The AI powering YouQ was developed with NASA’s Ames Research Center and through partnership and tools in the IBM Watson Studio.

The CITIZEN CZ Smart YouQ app will have wearers take a customized “Alert Monitor” test, which is the consumer version of NASA’s Psychomotor Vigilance Task Test designed to test the mental acuity of astronauts.

The CZ Smart YouQ application puts that pedigree to good work by monitoring the wearer’s biofeedback and learning their sleep and wake cycles. From there, it can use alert scores and other data to help you power through those dips in your day.

Over time, as it learns a user’s patterns, it can do more to suggest different “Power Fixes” that will further improve your day!

The 2nd Gen CITIZEN CZ Smart watches with YouQ software will come in multiple styles, including a sport and casual model; there are multiple bracelet and strap choices and downloadable personalized dials to further make the watch your own.

The 2nd gen CITIZEN CZ Smart using the proprietary CZ Smart YouQ application will be available starting in March; you can watch for it here.
