From NXTPAPER 4 to Affordable 5G: TCL’s Latest Tech Innovations Redefine Eye Comfort and Connectivity

TCL is proving they’re more than just a leader in TVs. With the affordable yet powerful TCL 60 series smartphones, the groundbreaking NXTPAPER 4 technology setting new standards for eye comfort, and innovative devices like portable projectors and 5G connectivity tools, TCL is redefining how you stay connected and entertained. Whether it’s the NXTPAPER 11 tablet, the budget-friendly K32 5G phone, or the versatile PLAYCUBE projector, TCL continues to deliver cutting-edge solutions for work, play, and everything in between.

TCL NXTPAPER 4

NXTPAPER has to be seen to be believed. TCL has designed a screen that’s gentle on your eyes without compromising on accuracy. NXTPAPER 4 is the latest iteration, and TCL will release it on the NXTPAPER 11 tablet later this year.

In addition to the regular NXTPAPER tricks, 4 will have some new AI tricks. Smart Eye Comfort Mode, Personalized Eye Comfort Mode, and a new NXTPAPER key to customize your preferences. One of the best parts of NXTPAPER is how you can easily shift between modes to change from a more eye-friendly reading mode to color and back again. Anything that makes that transition smoother and faster improves an already fantastic bit of screen tech!

NXTPAPER 11 is coming later this year, and it’ll be exciting to see NXTPAPER 4 in action!

TCL Smartphones

TCL has been making impressive smartphones for quite some time, and the latest iteration, the TCL 60 XE NXTPAPER 5G, will pick up NXTPAPER and the NXTPAPER key for easy screen mode switching. This includes Max Ink Mode, a really hardcore name for a setting that mimics eInk for easy reading.

Eye care is at the forefront for other features as well. An Eye Care Assistant can remind you to take breaks and adjust the display as lighting changes. We all know you shouldn’t browse your phone at night, but if you do, there’s Night Light Mode and Night-Friendly Screen for a more comfortable viewing experience.

Internally, there’s 256GB of storage and 8GB of RAM, so it’ll click along nicely and have plenty of space and speed. Around the back is a 50MP main camera plus a 32MP front-facing camera, so you’ll be taking great pictures to fill all that storage space!

The TCL 60 XE NXTPAPER 5G will be available unlocked, starting at $199 in Canada. The USA will follow later in 2025.

Also, in smartphone news, TCL is releasing the K32, a 5G phone that will likely retail for under $100 in September 2025.

Projectors and Connected Accessories

TCL recently released the Projector A1, a portable projector that can blast your favorite movies indoors and outdoors. Now, they’re adding to that lineup with the PLAYCUBE, a projector offering a modular design and indoor/outdoor functionality. The PLAYCUBE has a built-in battery since there are no outlets in the woods—or at least some woods; we can’t confirm that if you opt for glamping. Projector A1 is available now for $499, and pricing and availability on PLAYCUBE are TBD.

Of course, you need to stay connected, which sometimes means bringing in some outside help. TCL has the TCL LINKPORT IK511 5G RedCap USB Dongle. RedCap is basically 5G light, perfect for when you’re not looking for streaming and heavy lifts but need to keep a strong connection to the internet. TCL’s dongle is the first commercially available RedCap option. Best of all, it’s a simple plug-and-play, perfect for quick deployment. Look for it in T-Mobile stores starting at $96.

Meanwhile, the TCL LINKHUB HH516 5G AI CPE router uses AI to support up to 512 connections while also providing up to 7Gbps, 5G upload, and 7.2Gbps downloads. It also offers an ECO mode to adjust power settings, so you’re not gobbling up excess juice that isn’t needed. Pricing and availability are TBD, but expect it in the first half of 2025.

From the eye-friendly brilliance of NXTPAPER 4 to affordable 5G smartphones and versatile projectors, TCL’s latest offerings cater to a wide range of needs and budgets. Whether upgrading your phone, enhancing your home entertainment, or staying connected on the go, TCL delivers smart, affordable solutions that blend technology with practicality.

As we look forward to these releases, one thing is clear: TCL makes tech more approachable, versatile, and enjoyable for everyone. You can learn more by clicking here.

I’m with Mary on this! I’m so over my iPhone, and finding a phone that works great at that price is incredible. Plus, I really appreciate that the front camera isn’t stuck on an island.
