When you’re in the market for a new phone, you have a lot of choices. Do you go Android or iOS? What’s your budget? Sure, you can get seduced by high-end flagship devices, but if you’re looking for a phone that will handle entertainment, photos, and everyday needs while also being gentle on your eyes and your wallet, the new TCL NXTPAPER 70 Pro is calling your name.

NXTPAPER is special. It’s not just a regular screen, but a screen that can be three things: color, eInk style color, and plain eInk. You can hit a button and adjust the screen to what you’re doing, allowing you to have an ebook-like reading experience when you want it, and a beautiful 6.9in screen for videos and games when you want that! And NXTPAPER also provides blue light protection, so it’s easier on your eyes, no matter what.

The OS is Android 16, and TCL has onboard AI apps to help with transcription and content creation. There’s also an optional stylus if you like the idea of note-taking in your own handwriting!

They’ve also managed to fit a 50MP rear camera, a 32MP front camera, and microSD card support for storing all those photos. The onboard storage is either 256 or 512GB, and under the hood is a MediaTek Dimensity 7300 for plenty of oomph. And with a 5200mAh battery, you won’t run out of juice anytime soon.
It’s quite inexpensive, and I’m intrigued by the screen, though I’m unclear how it works.
Looks awesome for the price
I like the price of it.
