INIU SnapGo Air 10000mAh 25-Watt Wireless Charger Review: No More Excuses for a Dead iPhone

The Lowdown

If you’re part of the Apple Borg with a newer iPhone, you’ll love having the INIU SnapGo Air 25-watt wireless charger handy. It doesn’t weigh much, so it can reside attached to the iPhone or be kept in a purse or backpack for easy retrieval. I plan to use it exclusively on a fall European cruise my wife and I will be taking.

Overall
4.5

Pros

  • More than anything, I appreciate the convenience of the INIU SnapGo Air 25-watt wireless charger
  • It securely snaps onto the back of my iPhone and works with my case
  • While I prefer wired charging to wireless, I get that I’m probably in a minority here — those who prefer wireless will appreciate the 25W speed (on newer iPhone models)

Cons

  • I have had no issues with the INIU SnapGo Air
  • I would like a built-in kickstand, but you can’t have everything

As our lives become more and more dependent on smart devices, we also become even more dependent on charging those devices. And charging methods are usually based on habit or proximity to a power source—especially in an emergency. A good way to add many extra hours or even 1.5-2 days to your iPhone is using a 10,000mAh battery such as the INIU SnapGo Air 10000mAh 25-watt wireless charger.

Design and Features

The INIU SnapGo Air 25-watt wireless charger won’t win any beauty contests, but what magnetic smartphone charger will? The INUI charger’s beauty is on the inside. This little wonder will charge an iPhone wirelessly at near-wired speeds (for newer iPhone models). In real terms, that’s 0%-50% in 30 minutes. Not too shabby.

That’s not the only cool part. The INIU charger can also charge an iPhone wired—while still magnetically attached, so the charger is always within reach. INIU provides a short charging cable that doubles as a lanyard. Note that when wired, the charging speed maxes out at 27 watts, a bit faster than wireless. Wired charging always supersedes wireless. In other words, charging can be wired or wireless, but not both.

On one end of the SnapGo Air, a small but easy-to-read screen indicates how much battery life remains, shown as a percentage. When not charging, a side button will light up the display. Connecting the charging cord automatically powers it on.

The INIU SnapGo Air securely clamps onto the smartphone with its strong magnet to help prevent separation. I use an iPhone case with an added built-in magnet. While the charger will stick to the case, it feels a bit less secure, likely because the case’s magnet is weaker.

At 10,000mAh, the INIU SnapGo Air can recharge an iPhone twice—depending on the model’s battery size—easing worries about a dead device.

Even though the INIU SnapGo Air works quite well wirelessly, I still prefer wired charging. Why? When I charge wirelessly, my iPhone heats up. I understand it’s not a big deal for most people, but it still bothers me. And since using a wired connection will override wireless, my phone doesn’t get hot.

The INIU SnapGo Air can also wirelessly charge Apple AirPods Pro (3 and 2) and AirPods 3 via their wireless case. The Qi2 charger can charge a few other brands of earbuds wirelessly, but it’s hit-or-miss.

After using the INIU SnapGo Air for a few weeks, I wished it had a built-in kickstand for propping up my iPhone. It would have been a nice addition.

It’s important to note that while the INIU SnapGo Air is made to work best with the Apple iPhone, it will charge almost any smartphone or wired earbuds using its USB-C cable. Some older iPhones will require a Lightning-to-USB-C cable (not included).
